Yea, the STG-44 is the first of the bunch - it's a select fire rifle with an intermediate cartridge (between pistol and 'battle rifle' in power, i.e. NOT a 30-06/8mm/7.62N and its ilk).

And the 10 round thing is utterly arbitrary - and doesn't accomplish jack.

Mr. Parkland (since I take the names of morons away so they don't get the fame they wanted) used....drum roll please.

10 round magazines.

Yeap^
I shoot 7.62 and 556 pretty regularly (all semi though)...and Makarov, 9mm Luger, .22, .32, and...lol

Chankgeez wrote:10/22 was my first rifle. Lots of customization options. Ammo is relatively cheap. Probably as good a place as any to start. :idk:
Agreed. My first gun. Sold it during the last ammo crisis  when I gave up on .22lr. Fast forward a couple years and I have five .22's (3 pistols, 2 rifles). Prices on that ammo have basically gone back to "normal." Or at least close enough to it that I don't mind.

I'm not much of a 22 guy, I like the bigger flash and bang and am willing to pay the price for it.

Then again, I shoot most 7.62N out of a pair of 8.5" SBRs. :)

I can understand that. Most guys with the really "wild" stuff find it (22) too tame  Bet those SBRs boom! I have a Zastava m85np with one of the newer sbt "braces" on it. So much fun.

Oh, it goes boom alright (and yet, I have a can for it too!)....

Photo taken before I got the MP5K-PDW, the Uzi is lonely because I never shoot it any more.

:thumb: You ever use the cci quiets/colibri/cb shorts? That's what I use out back if I feel like plinking. Neighbors don't seem mind. The impact is louder than the gun going off (especially with steel targets).
Ps. I got another SKS! Early Chinese this time. Oh and updated that Saiga a bit (no more "sporting" stock).

 I won't be affording any of those I don't think. Jealous.

Offer to trade him some pedals. :poke:

I actually haven't been shooting in a long time. I used to like Remington. Not sure they even manufacture the specific type I liked anymore. :idk:

I've shot CCI, but only standard velocity. It burned a little dirtier. I liked the Remington because it was cleaner and, hence, easier to clean up after.

Dad and I also used some off-brand Czech ammo because it was really cheap. That burned really dirty.

Nice on the SKS. One of these days I'll start shooting again and maybe get another rifle. :snax: Maybe? :idk:

Yea, sadly neither will I any more - I have four figures in tax stamps alone in the collection. :(

The only people that should have magazine capacity limited are cops.

There just train them better.

Average cop receives less training than a half-devoted civilian.

Sadly, they won't be shot. That stuff is artwork, not...firearms.

I gave my partner at the time a Walther Custom PPK she'd wanted, gold engraving, special shit out the wazoo.

Shop was appalled when we shot it.

She looked at them and muttered 'it's a gun, it's what it does' and dumped another mag.

.22's are stupid for anything but simple target shooting IMO. They are so fucking boring to shoot. I have to do long distance shooting with mine to make it even remotely interesting.

I hardly ever get to shoot anymore. That kind of depresses me. I need to get an AR though for real before the purge starts. :)

What's long distance to you for .22LR, 200 yards?

So, there's somethin' that makes you do math? :snax:
