hole eeee shit Skip. Mind blown.
You don't like snow?!?!?!?! It's like the gloomiest backdrop ever for writing badass doom!!!! But yeah it is kinda a HUGE pain in the ass to get around in hahaha I love Portland, I only got to go for a couple days while on tour back in 2008 but I loved it, and the terrain around it. Everything you could ever want, trees, rivers, mountains, hot springs, strip clubs, EVERYTHING!Corey Y wrote:Nick is always trying to convince me to move East, but I hate snow. I would say I'd like to hang out with fellow doomers in the northwest, but I barely even get up to the SF bay area these days. I need to get one of the bands gigging regularly or start new stuff that will gig, so I can find excuses to hang out with people lol. The last time I got up to Portland was on tour in 2004, I liked it.
Why thank ya sir!Harry_Manback wrote:hole eeee shit Skip. Mind blown.
What can I say? I'm a product of my environment, a child of fog. You're making me want to go on tour again.Ancient Astronaught wrote:You don't like snow?!?!?!?! Srsly. A few folks from ss.org have pestered Kurt @ Rondo to do a 7-string version of his Valkyrie model, which is essentially an offset SG, but no luck so far. The Rondo custom orders offer a wide variety of Agile models in 7 (and even 8+) string versions, with multiple scale lengths, so if you want something weird to your spec for not a ton of cash it's a good place to look.Krosis wrote:7 string SG? Then I'm doing my job! Get your ass on out here to the nations crapital!Corey Y wrote:What can I say? I'm a product of my environment, a child of fog. You're making me want to go on tour again.

Yeah man, the only time I saw one before was on the Goodwill online auction site. I bid for it but of course lost. It was blue but that grey one looks even better. I knew nothing about them and couldn't really find any info or reviews, so it's good to hear you like them. Now I've got the GAS againAncient Astronaught wrote:Yup DeArmond S-67, cheap too if you can find em. I paid 300$ total for both of them, including the pickups I got for the black one.Krosis wrote:7 string SG? Do want.

Do what?!?! Yeah I built the black one about 2 months back, bought the white about a month ago and set it up plus fixed some bad solder joints. The black dearmond I've had since about a week after I got the blue one, but its the back up so its not often out. It's got lower gain pickups and the construction is a lil sloppier, from far away they look the same but up close you can feel that two very different people made them. Thanks again dan.AngryGoldfish wrote:I must have missed all that gear. I didn't know you bought new Tele's and another DeArmond. Fantastic gear, matey!
Love the rig and love the board dude!!! SICK fukkin rig. Badascan + Apeblaster in a loop for one button sonic mayhem, love it.misterstomach wrote:i've never posted my rig on here. currently it's this. shot of the practice space wall:
mine's the guitar and amp on the left. here's a close up of the current board:
the unlabeled pedals in the upper left are a badascan into an ape blaster. on the bottom right is just a tb loop that controls them. as you can see, the board still has remnants of a stereo setup, but i was forced to sell my other head a few months ago. i haven't been able to bring myself to fully redo the board 'cause i keep telling myself that i'll have another head soon. but really i should just bite the bullet and do it. the ab/y has one channel going to the elements which then goes to nothing. waiting on a head that isn't there... really i should just clear up the space on the board and do something cool with some other pedals. we've actually gotten a lot of compliments on how the guitars interact since i've gone down to one head and i can see where their coming from. i'll probably just stick with it for a while. i'd like to get another reverb, a freeze and maybe a chorus pedal on there. i really really need to get a second guitar when i can afford one.
