So, how does the TAFM and MUFF compare?

The TAFM has a very similar sound to the muff but with a lot more options. The shape control was super cool and useful. What really stood out to me was that the clean blend really held the guitar's tone well. With the bridge pickup I could mix in a sparkle clean with a muffy, lo-fi, and low end friendly fuzz. Pure shoegaze bliss, the first pedal I've played that really accomplished the Clean Blend/Fuzz Blend well. It gives the clean tone a chance to shine without the fuzz totally overwhelming it. I don't think the TAFM is muff-based but it does get a pretty huge fuzz sound similar to the muff with my Epi's humbuckers.

I'll ask Liv what she thinks as well.

Cool, i don't have to post a pic of my board now haha.

About the comparison between the tafm and big muff... Pumpkinpieces explained most of perfectly. You can let your clean go over top the fuzz tone which is a pretty cool effect. It's like a shimmery overdrive fuzz that can still be just as oomphy as the big muff. :)

When both guitarists and bassist are obsessed with fuzz... this is what happens. Our drummer hates it when we sit and make noises outside of a song. :grumpy:

I was this close to buying a ghost echo, but I had just gotten a Sole-Mate. It still looks sweet!

I organized everything I got, made a selection, tried out a few different orders, cleaned up the wiring and for a first time it feels pretty done and open to explore, not change around and around. Getting to know the ring thing is great fun, played a first duet session today, with a theremin in it's mod input. :thumb:

I just realized that the lights on the space echo make a smiley face.

Looks like there's room for one more fuzz

All the fuzz is in the corner making less happy faces at me.

EDIT: it kept me up all night, so here's a revision with an added 6 knobs of fuzz:

Thanks!! ;)

Nice! And what is the tentacular fuzz beastie in the lower right hand corner? It looks intriguing...

Thanks. The pedal is a Tim Escobedo's T.M.K. fuzz I built ! I did a loud obnoxious youtube demo about it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2dOch0siYs .
