I don't know for certain if what goes on in here actually is spam, but I could see where it might be interpeted as such. Dunwich-bro, I'd PM Tom or a mod to be sure that you're operating within the board rules, posting guts and info on your wares. Just to be sure. Like I said, not in here to rain on anyone's parade. Just want to make sure that all Doom Room goings-on are legit/within the rules. Peace.

And you post in this thread how often?

Excuse me, this thread is not a self-contained forum, as much as you guys seem to want it to be. You are part of a community. And although a few of you guys have ventured out to the other sub-forums, the rest of the ILF community would really like that interaction to expand.

Bloog is simply making the point that ILF has an anti-spam policy which, in essence, is: If you're selling something, post it in BST. If it's something you made yourself, then get a Shark Tank spot. We're not saying that Nick doesn't contribute a lot with his posting. It's just that posts that are primarily concerned with advertising a product that he's selling belongs in the Shark Tank.

No one was being disrespectful, and no one was shitting on anyone. We just want all of ILF to be happy, interactive, and inclusive.

The "spam spam spam spam etc" post was pretty disrespectful, actually, my friend.

especially considering that nobody that frequents this thread considers what Nick is doing is spam.

I just said that Nick contributes a lot that isn't spam. But there is some spam in there, that's all that I'm saying. Like this particular post belongs in BST:

That is why there is a shark tank. You are not supposed to be showing off builds if you are running a pedal company or selling them. That's why fuzzrocious and the rest of the guys post their stuff in the shark tank and not bst or DIY... Just because the people in one thread of this forum don't have a problem with it doesn't mean it's not fair to the rest of the forum that plays by the rules.

I post across the board often enough to know that I like enough people who actively post in this thread, and elsewhere on ILF that I'd recommend necessary precautions are taken, so those dudes can continue doing their thing here. I feel I was pretty diplomatic; so much so that it didn't warrant such a "tone" in reply. Let's play nice, ok?

Both these are plenty diplomatic I would just like to point out that quite a few of us in this thread have been hanging out in this awesome forum before this thread was made. :hello:

I understand wanting to keep to site rules about the spamming policies and posting shit you are looking to sell but to be honest this is a different situation. Nick's post's don't come off that way to me at all. His presence in the DR is one of the reasons I even bother with the internet and talking about guitar shit. It's one dude making rad shit out of his home. He charges far less than a mass produced PCB amp and you get something a million times better. He also brings a wealth of knowledge to the table along with a keen ability to shit on me at any given moment. If his posts are deemed to be spamming from this day forth then the DR is truly dead haha.

I guess I smoke too much weed to care about this to the extent some are arguing it. I am surprised shit like this never happened on Harmony Central

But don't you guys think if nick were to get a shark tank and have threads about each different pedal and what ever amp models all right there open for discussion it would be pretty awesome? :idk:

But then it wouldn't be a wizards and weed doom room circle jerk.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. I dig Dunwich.

Nah, there can still be circle jerks!

I for one would really dig a shark tank so I could actually check his stuff out. I might be in the market for a new amp head soon.
