My only issue is that I cant get it to configure with my M-Audio expression pedal

I reset it and it made zero difference. Any Tensor users have ideas?
Honestly I don't know, I suppose you've already read the manual to see how to configurate it properly? Iirc you have to hold one of the footswitches while plugging it.
Yep, did all that but no luck so far!
Maybe the Red Panda peeps have a secret jedi reset trick or something? Sound like you tried everything else, it's worth the shot no?

Good idea! I shot them an email about it.

Got a reply from Sylvie at Red Panda - she suggested updating firmware as mine is a low serial #. It worked!
Now I have to figure out what I want to assign the exp pedal to do...

Tensor owners, a question - if you press on the left, record button when a loop is already playing, do you get a click, a bit noisy sound when you do it? Also, if you change between presets while playing, does it do a clicky sound as well? It is updated to the latest firmware.

No and no
I guess you already tried a reset?

Yep, tried a reset. It happens if I have it on REC or overdub mode in both latching and momentary when I stop recording a loop. A very weird thing happens as well if I record a REALLY short loop, a milisecond one, I get a sort of tremolo effect, even if I have it full wet and I play my guitar, the guitar sound cuts in in a tremolo effect with some scratchy artifacts.

IIRC the footswitch clicking thing is a common issue with earlier (S/N < 067000) units, but the dry signal cutting in like that sounds odd and I would definitely shoot the Red Panda peeps an email.. also maybe try updating the firmware if you haven't done so already.
The current hardware revision+latest firmware should not produce any of those issues.

Check your serial number and refer to the documentation for firmware updates.
I think I recall reading somewhere that the most recent firmware update
does not work
with a certain set of early serial numbers.

it works, you just don't get the extra looping time. Mine falls into that category. I need to upgrade mine. If anyone has a newer one and doesn't care about the looper, wanna trade and I'll send some cash your way to save me the trouble of having to buy a new one and sell my old one?

I'm not good at doing deep dives on pedal features. Typical for me, I love my Tensor but I've found one setting I like, and that's the only way I use it (backwards delay, tuned to be in the same key as the clean signal, then I use it to capture/release loops on the fly, which I play over). Anybody have other uses/settings that they can share, or tips on good tutorials?
Also, when I have a loop captured and I'm playing along with the loop, my "live" guitar signal is clean. Is this user error? I'm disappointed that I can't get Tensor effects playing along with the loop.
I know this post is like 5 years late, but I'm at least 5 years behind everybody else on gear.
Also, Mongo not smart

I keep trying different glitchy pedals and keep coming back to Tensor. It's just the best.
I think I use it pretty much the same as you but I turn up the randomness so the length of the repeats is different. I don't mess with the pitch, though.
I don't know if there's a way to hold a sample and also get it to mangle the incoming audio.
