Regarding Saturday:

1. Do we want random people to be able to watch/listen to us? If I understood Yvonne correctly, we can have a closed session if we so please. Personally, I find this to be the best option simply because more people = more unwanted sounds.

2. To make things more efficient we can either make a list of who's going to play when now or on Friday. Want to go first? Want to go last? Want to be right before/after someone else for a collab/transition? Don't care? This is also good to know for the next point.

3. I will be filming this from two angles, one camera being stationary, the other hand held (I will not be walking around). If you don't want to have your face on the Internet or don't want to be filmed at all, that is perfectly fine, but if you have a wish/preference when it comes to angles/shots, knowing this in advance will make things a lot smoother on my end.

4. If we end up being 10 people we will have roughly 20 minutes each to play when taking into account setting up and taking 10 minute breaks in between each set. You are free to do whatever you want with those 20 minutes, which includes splitting them in two for a collaboration or just two different tracks. However, exceeding those 20 minutes will result in others getting less time, so please, if you're not just winging it, try to time/plan your set in advance (just use a huge reverb pedal at the end of your chain). We can have a cell phone in airplane mode with a timer on top of one of the amps or something. I think this won't be a problem, but it would suck if we started running out of time and the last person getting like four minutes.

5. Bring thick socks/good footwear and a warm sweater. It's chilly in there, and while not freezing, spending six hours in there is bound to be cold. I will try to bring some blankets just in case, but if you can manage to fit some warm clothes in your suitcase next to your pedals and gear, that is highly recommended.

6. Bring food. After we've all met up on Friday, we will hit the grocery store before going to the rehersal space. It would probably be wise to buy enough food then to bring to the mosuleum on Saturday. If we're to show up at 12.00 and it takes roughly 1 hour to get to the mosuleum, you don't want to go grocery shopping again before that. Especially if you're hung over. ;)

I just know that ill bring my singing bowl and some battery powered shit.

I love that I'll have to practice with a massive 20 second reverb. My suitcase of droners will def be featured

to point one: I know at least one dude outside of ILF who said he might be interested in checking this out, so maybe we should allow people? In my mind's eye I'm thinking of this as much more of a Prostitution 2007 deal than an actual "come pay money and watch bands"-y thing:
For three consecutive days, in afternoon and evening sessions, they will record songs and improvisations to a limited seated audience, and please note, these events are live recordings. Any assumption that one is coming to a traditional live event would be a gross misinterpretation.
The main argument for it being that recouping costs (or some of the costs) is never a bad thing. Also OK with it being a closed session since there's a distinct possibility I'm going to end up with egg on my face and I'm very sensitive.

To point 2: do we have a roll call of who's actually showing up so far? this will help us figure out the list prior to the 8th (three weeks from today holy shit). I can play wherever, though: y'all are the ones who have to put up with it  .

The idea being that if you're getting the kinks out of your live set prior with a massive reverb that you'll be used to the sound of the space.

I'm just going to do hall and oates covers I think.

Youp. It's basically so you can, at least to some extent, feel what it is like to play there, because the reverb is massive and very loud, so you probably have to play/oooooohmmmm a lot slower than you think. A shrill JMC-style guitar solo shred will most likely sound horrible.

By closed session I mean 'no randoms who will fuck up our recordings' (although I doubt that they would. People are generally very respectful). I will bring a friend or two, and so should everyone else that wants to. I'm just thinking it's better if we can make sure that the people that show up are people we can tell to STFU.

I believe the people who have said that they will show up are:

D.o.S.
Brandsmannen
goroth
vidret
monkeydancer
SquareWaveFuzz
Disarm D'Arcy
Eivind August
Myself

Still maybes:
Hypnodrone
ognoy (?)

Punch me in the dick if I've forgotten about you.

I don't know about that. I have some pretty ugly friends.

I might be able to go check out the mausoleum on Sunday. If I do and there aren't a lot of people around, I'll shoot a little video and make some sounds. :joy:
