im glad the jets got in. off all the players the blackhawks had to shed for cap reasons, i think the jets have the three is miss the most. i think they could make a lot of noise!

bigchief, i feel your pain. kane and toews' extensions kick in next year so there is a good chance they will be totally fucked filling out the rest of the team. last years gag vs the kings might have been their last real shot for a long time. they have been offensively inept the last couple weeks and im preparing for a first round exit.

I'm actually really happy that the Bruins ended up not sneaking in with the 8 seed. Missing the playoffs gives Charlie Jacobs and Neely the cover to throw Chiarelli and Claude out on their fucking necks. Chiarelli deserves it, Claude only kinda does. Chiarelli was great during the big build-up from 2006 - 2011. Then he just turtled and became afraid to let anyone go from that title team, so he gave EVERYONE, even our 4th liners, big extensions that they didn't deserve, and completely destroyed the Bruins cap space and their ability to add any talent whatsoever.

Claude isn't a bad coach, he may not be my favorite style, but he can take the right kind of team all the way to the top. The problem is that when he doesn't have that kind of team, he's completely incapable of changing his game plan. He can only coach one style, no matter what. And he absolutely HATES rookies and young guys, to the point where he severely retards their development. He is the reason the Bruins traded Seguin, and he did his damnedest to bury Spooner and Pastrnak this year until injuries made it impossible. He needs to go, because developing youth is the only way the Bruins are going to get better at this point.

Whoever they are replaced with, I hope they have to balls to trade anyone on this team, and I mean anyone. Chara, Rask, Lucic, Krejci, whatever. Everyone is on the table. Because the Bruins need to blow it up and go young, badly. They have some good young talent in Hamilton, Krug, Pastrnak and Spooner. Rask and Marchand are still young guys, and Bergeron still has at least 4 years of his prime left. There's time to rebuild and develop. Do it.
