Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
So much in the last few pages...
Nightterror - that Orange amp looks cool as fuck, especially on top of that Green amp
Conky - that track sounds awesome, the double percussion is great. fuck the comparisons to Slipknot, although i do like a few of their songs, i can't stand the fact that they have those 2 additional percussionist who mostly do nothing but run around the stage most of the time and make a fucking nuisance of themselves.
Necrosis - My wife is a big Muse fan, and i don't talk too much trash about them, because they're not bad...but saying that Muse is today's Pink Floyd, that's just ridiculous
and this...love Super Hands...not sure if you guys get Peep Show on your side of the world...

Yup. Our old drummer always talked about wanting to do something with two drummers and hit me up the other day about jamming again. I'd love to bring that guy back in the fold but he has a bad history of flaking out and just disappearing for a month at a time.
Unfortunately we don't know any other reliable drummers so for now it's just the drummer and I.- LOCOPELAND

Honestly , I like it but everyone who has come over while we were rehearsing and saw the extra set of rack toms immediately made a Slipknot reference.![]()
It is almost to the point where I don't even wanna do it anymore because of it. What do you guys say?
That was pretty badass! I'd say it's a keeper. People who are making Slipknot references are obviously ignorant asshats.

Intronaut brings out some extra drums too. It always sounds great and adds a little bit extra to the mix so go for it. I think it is this song that Intronaut does it on:

Melvins are playing a 2 day residency in Bristol (which is the closest major venue from me) playing Houdini, Lysol, Eggnog, Bullhead and Stoner Witch in FULL.
Houdini, Bullhead and Lysol might be my favourite albums. These 2 days are my last 2 exams.
I might actually cry.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Okay, I'm resurfacing. There's been some killer shit going on in here. Nice gear! Crazy Orange, crazy Bass IV, crazy Hiwatt and crazy Classic 400. I'm probably forgetting some too.
Peter (ridingeternity) I'm so glad to have eMet the dude responsible for the mountaintop shows. I saw the pix and vidz of Serial Hawk as they were posted and I was envious. I wonder how the road up there is? We have a trailer to think about in situations like that.
I'm not afraid to be the lone dissenting voice: I don't like multiple drummers. But I like it even less when artists cave to the opinions of others (even my extra special superopinions) so fuck what I say!
And Skip I remember you saying that I could ask you about Telemaster stuff. Well here I go! I got the bridge in the photo (Fender branded with ungrooved brass barrel saddles) in a broad and sweeping trade. Is there any reason I should avoid using it? Also, is there a way to get a Fender type aluminum neck for the thing without paying 750 bux? That's really all the questions I got right now.
We played a show with a band called Power Skeleton the other night. They're noise rock. Not the "we're so avant garde and forward thinking that we can adequately ripoff Jesus Lizard and Shellac" type of noise rock. I mean every show and song being almost totally improvised off a meager skeleton of a riff or two and a half a dozen synth sounds agreed upon only the week of the show. There is actual NOISE in this rock. I wish more 'noise rock' bands were like this instead of just plain ol' followers of the hip.

That bridge will work just fine, actually looks to be one of the better ones without all the crinkles in the grooves of the bends. The only problem I see is the saddles. Those are a compensated type (corrected for proper intonation in E standard) the only problem I've found is all three of my tele's needed a straight saddle in the middle position to intonate the D + G strings correctly. This is the type I use: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMPENSATED-TELE-TELECASTER-BRIDGE-SADDLE-SET-BRASS-FOR-FENDER-GUITAR-/330896246598?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item4d0af40746 so what I would recommend is using the outer two saddles from that set, and the one that is in the far right on your bridge in the middle. That should allow you to intonate into a standard style tuning without issues. As far as the aluminum neck, thats a big negatory good buddy, 750$ is actually a deal on an aluminum neck for a fender. It's just that nobody makes them.
