I've got a small Univox combo that was the proto for the Goodsell Unibox--killer amp, sort of like a swampier AC-15 I think, but I didn't pay anywhere near 5 bills for it...didn't realize they had become so prized as a brand. Folks used to sneer at them....

This one should be more like a Fender Showman? I'll actually be driving right by there Saturday but won't be able to stop....

The Univox amps of the B group were more akin to the Marshall Superlead/Superbass. Unicord (Parent company) imported Marshalls to the US in the early 70's, so they kinda just copied them but with better transformers that Marshall eventually adopted as well.

This crazy thing is in a local shop now:
https://reverb.com/item/637693-boutique ... itish-plum

They don't have a price on it. The company doesn't exist any more and there's no online evidence of them.
The amp sounds good. Scratchy volume pot and some cosmetic issues.

Anything I should watch out for in a 25-year-old handbuilt smalltime amp?

What should I offer for it?

If I took that amp home for $5-600 I'd be happy, you can nab a JCM800 combo for not much more or a Classic 50 for similar money... likely not even a "real" amp company, I'd wager kit amp in a nice cab...

Looking for cheap Lace Alumitone Bass Bar chrome finish soap bar pickups for a six string bass (4.5" width)? Get 'em for $58 and change each while this Amazon price lasts: http://www.amazon.com/Lace-Alumitone-31 ... ce+tonebar
Yes, these are packaged as being for steel guitar. Same pickup, same specs. Because of Amazon's bizarre inventory control sale pricing algorithm, the same pickup in steel guitar packaging is half price.

Are you supposed to mention "ginger Susan", "ginger Susan, I forgot there's a brand new tape installed", or "ginger" (then they said "Susan, I forgot there's a brand new tape installed")?

Good deal though even though the whole deal sounds kinda like solicitation or like the new street name for amyl nitrate or something...."contact me via 'ginger Susan'"...leave 550 on the table.

That address isn't too far from a location of Federal Donuts:

Maybe "Ginger Susan" is a new flavor of donut?
