"knock down the claim because it falsely insinuates that the F.B.I. broke the law"
This whole presidency is such a clusterfuck.

It is one of those things, though -- executive overreach has become a huge problem, but it's only become a massive problem in the last ~8 years because of the obstructionist behavior of the Tea Party: when Mitch McConnell said "our job is to make him a one term president", you have to have some kind of override for that bit of political malfeasance.
The problem, though, is that by setting this precedent, you give someone like Trump a bevy of power he A) doesn't need and B) can't really wield.

^^^The point of this entire thread. The two-party system has got to go!

Though it's pretty astounding to hear myself saying it, I feel like the Governator has come to represent that all-too-rare aisle crosser these days. Sure he's a repub, but he's a Californian repub, reflected in his realistic acceptance of climate change, which to me as a fucking no-brainer.
Anyway, yes—I would INFINITELY prefer him to Trump.

Oh, and I predict that if this travel ban doesn't go over well, Trump's gonna try again next time with one that covers only five Muslim-majority countries.
