Did anybody else notice this thing? Saw it in a Tweet from PG. The name is ridiculous, but I dunno... I always root for these kinds of things even though they're sort of doomed, due to the fact that the odds are slim that you'll ever like all of your sounds from one company. That said, I love the way it looks. It's kinda like like if Eurorack and Lehle hopped in the sack. :idk:

Can't find anything about it online at all.

Confused about the Ryan Adams hate? 80s graphics are everywhere on everything...theres quite a few pedals that have that schtick and none can claim a hint of ownership to that look.

I think it's primarily JHS hate, with a side of Ryan Adams hate.

Funniest part was when some dude on Reddit was claiming "My goodness! My band used the same retro VHS art for our latest and totes original 80s themed EP! Ryan Adams/JHS ripped us off!!"

When they both lifted from the same fucking recycled/generic reference material. Also, yes, fuck JHS.

Unrelated: The Russian Pickle sounds rad. Like a velcro-y big muff. Arrived just in time for that Witch - Seer tonez thread.

Sigh. Cheaper to buy 4 microbrutes for poly.
Hopefully the Abyss's oscillators stay really stable in the production units, and that the oscillators sound as nice as the erebus's. It costs as much as one of those Dave Smith desktop synths, but it looks like it'd be more fun to use and might actually sound nicer?

Assuming it ticks all those marks and doesn't end up being deeply flawed some way, I might pick it up in about a year. I'd say later this year, but this year is the year I finally put together a small eurorack video synth

Pretty sure it's something to do with the recent virtue signaling going down on Instagram.

Midnight Amplification Devices (yeah that one) got on Instagram and claimed he ripped off the design for their Giant Sound pedal to make a t-shirt. Side by side they looked pretty similar. Eventually, Ryan or his people or whomever took the shirt down from the website.

Ryan Adams had previously given shout-outs to MAD on instagram, and apparently bought a number of his pedals along with the free social media advertising, but, to my knowledge, hasn't said a whole lot about it other than there's two sides to every story.

Hard for me to understand Ryan Adams hate. Seems to be a good dude who enjoys gear and makes a point to highlight up and coming builders. But, shit, the internet finds a way to work itself up into a frenzy for most anything, so who knows.

I've worked with the dude a couple times over the years, and never had any issues with him. He was actually really enthusiastic about learning about our tech and had great technique to get a good recording. Which is nice in a world where all too often our recordings can get treated like a chore you want to get out of the way.

We had a boutique mic out for him, and he was interested to learn more about it and asked more intelligent questions about it than I've gotten from anybody in a long time.

So dude get an A+ in my book.
