I can't imagine buying another bass for a long, long damned time unless I come into some money, then it's a Ric.

Re: Let's see your BASS!
I would love a JO4 or Duck Dunn 4.
I may get enlisted for a punk/post hardcore band. So I'mma take my entry level P-Bass,....try to source a nice Maple Fingerboard Mighty Mite neck for it,...drop some overwound Split Humbuckers in it. Sheild and rewire,..get it setup,...bam,...P-Bass into SVT. Classic punk toanz.

I'd say MTD or Dingwall or shit Wal, but unfortunately I'm not making the cash to get one of those. I'd do a Game Changer too.

Re: Let's see your BASS!
Oh, it's not the price or sound.... my hatred for the design of the Big Fail bass been well documented....
It was one of the reasons that contributed to my boot from TB. I posted a pic of the Al coming out of a dog's ass, while it was hunched over about to drop a massive deuce.
I thought it was hilarious..... JT on the other hand

Holy shit, I never heard the story of why you were banned, and no one ever talked about it, probably for fear of getting banned themselves. That is some funny shit.
Literally.

Sorry

I like the way they look. If I got one I'd want a more industrial color scheme though...

muwhaha
That's only 1 small part of the equation. There are so many goddamn times I got a spanking (more like a fisting and fingering) that I can't remember all of them.
One of them was my "dirty joke" thread.....
A boy asks his father "daddy what's a vagina look like?"
He says "well son, before sex a vagina is like a rose with soft velvety pedals and the aroma of perfume"
The boy asks "what about after sex?"
The father says "You ever see a bulldog eating mayonnaise"

I got a reaming for that one

Re: Let's see your BASS!

I meh on the Big Al's but at least they look better than them toilet seat bongos. I often times think to myself,....really,...BMW had a hand in that. The car manufacturer that bestowed this beauty on us.....

WTF were they thinking???
Eh,....some people like em and I think they sound great,...but aesthetics are important to my shallow self. If I don't love the looks of it,...I'm not going to be inspired to play it.

Re: Let's see your BASS!
I really like the look of the Bongo. It took it awhile to grow on me. At first I was like WTF, then I would think it looked good for abit and then weird for a bit, now I would rock one, no problem. The Big Al looks weird to me, but the one I have tried, a SSS sounded GREAT. I could get over the looks.
I mean Ernie Ball is making some great basses quality and soundwise, innovating technologically (GameChanger, wish it had a different name though), and taking steps in an original direction design wise. Pretty much no other major brand has all of these aspects, sure some way smaller companies can lay claim to these criteria at varying degrees. Many way more expensive basses only have the great quality and sound, the most innovative thing about them is the preamp or pickups in it, because other than that it is based off a 65 year old design (not totally dissing it though, I would like a Lakland).
Anyways, it is a great time to play bass, a lot of solid choices out there. I am glad i am down with MusicMan though.

well... the TB isn't famous for raunchy stinking humor for sure. You did well, standing as an example for the Youngsters.
