i think we're doing it like last year where, for example, in the small category there are 3 polls going at once with 3 sets of different boards. Your board, if in that category, will only be in one of those polls in which case you COULD vote for yourself at the risk of Vidret murdering you slowly but the other two would have other boards if you're going to participate in voting in those.

I'll let him clarify if i'm wrong.
Nope, not this year.
Since we've had the discussion about the issues of brackets (ending up in a strong bracket vs weak, etc) this will be one big pile for every category, and so you'll have 3 polls where you, if you want, can vote 3 times for yourself.
I think if every person who just came out of the woodwork to win, and not to vote on other peoples's's''s awesome boards just vote 3 times for themselves then they will all take care of themselves, unless they actually have a strong board and then they'll win either way.
If I suspect actual cheating I will re-do the votes using the forum polling system.
We will also have finals in each category (top 3 or top 5), so if someone got in there by voting for themselves it shouldn't matter as much come finals anyways.
You basically still need to have a pretty rad looking board to win either way.
Why do we get three votes if we have access to all the boards in a category to vote on? I apologize if this is an obvious question, I'm from America and we're not exactly good at voting.
I'm not going to participate this year... my board hasn't changed much since last year.
And I'm in the process to do some change around here, but not ready yet.
Yeah I thought it would be like a legit NCAA style tournament bracket where boards are paired and you vote for one out of each pair until you're left with 2 in the thunderdome final. I guess I'll figure it out once it's actually posted.
I dont know. Somehow I feel like the calls for being attentive to cheating goes against what this forum is. Like in a board game among friends I'd cheat my ass off but not in poker for actual money. Like let's not try to be dicks? Same with the concerns some people have about secret Santa, it shouldn't be a problem
