I think "renewed interest in pedals" might more accurately expressed as "out of ethical options and needs money now regardless of who it wrongs"

yes, that's harsh. I also believe it to be true

Yeah, definitely. It's just easier to put it that way when all of us know what the situation is. :idk:

To whomever asked what Scott Pilgrim is
It is a comic and then a completely groundbreaking film
Directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz)
Funny as hell and definitely full of fuzz!
There is actually a bass-off scene LOL
Excellent soundtrack
Beck and Broken Social Scene wrote the music

A lot of the oldest Devi Pedals have the exact same aesthetic as the comic, the old numbered Effector 13 ones for example
Also both Devi and Scott have connections to the Smashing Pumpkins

Yeah, because Scott wears a Smashing Pumpkins shirt because the band and the character have the same initials.

But actually the story of Scott Pilgrim is based on whom Brian Lee O'Malley thought was the person in the Plumtree song.

Right! Halifax band

I was talking about the significance of the number "zero" throughout the film

They couldn't afford to put the song in the movie unfortch :(

Best thread in months.

I'll still buy used Devi and E13 shit because it's cheap and I want to collect them all.

New? Probably not. Mainly because of the whole console thing.

The drama is entertaining though.

Buying new Devi stuff is most likely much better quality now than when Devi owned the company. I don't think aen had anything to do with the console.

I think he mostly means new things built by Devi Ever (the person).

Though, I would also encourage him to buy his devi stuff new from Dwarfcraft, though. :thumb:

i used to have a bunch of devi's. now i think i only have an ND, 05 and punch love left.

i dont really use them, altho the ND rips hard. i don't think i'll sell them because nostalgia. her pedals were pretty much the intro to all this stuff for me, ILF included.

I can't be fully part of ilf until I've had a devi ever pedal. I don't think I've even played one.

The only Devi pedal I've ever had was the Infanem Improbability Drive. It was awesome, but not what I was looking for in a noisy fuzz (which is what I thought it would be).

I'd love to try the Big Distortion Sound Machine and the Silver Rose sometime though.

dude its gnarly! the fuzz knob (atleast on mine) doesn't act like a normal fuzz knob where u turn it up and it increases the fuzz. its like in the middle its pretty gnarly, okay we're cooking. then the more u turn it left it gets really fucking trashy and trebbly and more fuzzy. turn it right and it gets more and more bassy and fuzzy. i looove how it works like this instead of a traditional control.

I almost have no Devi Ever pedals now. I used to have 10? Devi pedals got me into fuzz. First fuzz I bought was a Hyperion through Musician's Friend. Then bought direct as much as I could. I believed in the sole builder. I thought I was doing something good and right and getting a fuzz out of it too. Console. I haven't bought from a small builder since. Trying to let myself trust again. It isn't working.

Harassment sucks and the people who don't want their money back at least get the feels-good about "helping". I tried to help by being a good consumer and buying even when I didn't need to.

I wanted to believe. How foolish I was!
