Thanks!!
I'll let you know but it mught take a couple of month before I swap the pickup.
No problem!!!
And Sounds good!!

If that were my J-200, I'd throw flatwounds on it and a lipstick PU in the soundhole. Serious rhythm machine.

Thanks

The '62 is my #1. It's got Lindy Fralin standard T pickups set as well as Graphtech saddles. SOUNDS HUGE. Pretty much every standard tuning guitar part you can hear on my project
Etherealness recordings have been played on this one. Give Etherealness II (the song) a listen, see my sig.

Why hurt such a beautiful and lovely guitar ?

No, seriously, it was the perfect fit for me when I bought it, from the sound and features to the look, and I don't intend to make any change in the future...

I still need a bari, a twelve string electric and a high end Jazzmaster. I'M DOOMED.

I don't think you'd do much harm at all with a new set of strings and a soundhole PU. Nothing irreversible anyway.

About my new guitar... the seller told me the body is oak, but according to this website it's ash.
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TeleProtoBTI don't find any info on the Fender website about this guitar.
Where could I get the right specs?

I just searched google images and every dealer with specs listed said the body was ash.
Email customer care at Fender, they'll get it sorted out for you in a day or so.

That's exactly what I was gonna say.
Whatever kinda wood the body's made of, sylnau, it doesn't change the fact that it's beautiful.

kosta wrote:Dude that Tele is major. Really awesome looking. Congrats Syl! I played a Nash Tele Deluxe with those Lollar Regal WRHB's in it, and I couldn't put that damn thing down. Those Lollar's sound gooooooooooood.
Also, while we're at it, NGD recently for me too :

1979 Gibson The Paul
Some non-original parts and somebody punched a hole in it to move the pickup selector up top at some point, but man this thing is killer! The pickups are an old set of DiMarzio Super Distortions, and they sound fantastic. Walnut body and neck, and an ebony board. Lean and mean. Really really digging this one so far.
Shout out to homeboy Chankgeez who made the rounds with me last week while I was trying to figure out which LP to go after. Thanks man!

Duuude, nice! I have the '97 "The Paul" II and it's awesome. I love the super thin bodies, great guitars.
