"ARQ is a drum machine, sequencer, synthesizer, looper, and MIDI controller with a built-in accelerometer. Even more, ARQ is freedom. With its wireless Bluetooth Ring Controller, you can escape the booth, move the music, and get in front of the crowd."
those crazy EDM kids.....

Looks like a revision of a Tenori-On (wished Yamaha hadn't given up on those way back when). Or something like the Reactable system (somehow w/ less EDM):

I think you mean 2015/2016 & this is the most boring Mother 32 demo anyway:

I noticed those amps when Annie/St. Vincent was doing her interviews, too, & am wondering what the deal is (from the Reverb video):
Also, thanks LG & echorec for the IRL updates!
It's kinda funny that you mention those. I was thinking of some other devices from that same non-traditional MIDI controller family. The ARQ makes me think of an Alphasphere Nexus crossed with a Beat Thang (two readily available controllers that I have to assume were commercial disappointments, since I've never met anyone who's owned either device).
Good catch on the MM amps. You know I actually played that video earlier, but I didn't look at it. I just had it on in the background from the Reverb NAMM playlist. I find many of the NAMM videos uncomfortable to watch (not just from Reverb). The person with the mic is often clumsily unrehearsed and enthusiastically nervous, which can make the subject being interviewed come across as tense or combative. Sometimes awkward can be charming and endearing. Music press awkward is something I just find to be unpleasantly cringeworthy (so the question remains: WTF is Ernie Ball doing? How can you announce a product, exhibit it, and then go 11 months without any updates or teasing any pics? That seems so unprofessional and amateurish.)
You're welcome for the updates. I was going to be mentally downloading it all anyway, and I just thought I'd share as I went along.

I'm a happy Fryette owner so I think they may do well with the rerelease of SC amps. I don't think Fryette would have their named involved with (build) an amp they weren't proud of and felt met their usual standards with Fryette amps.

Good to see that the csidman is not entirely a Possessed clone. It's more like a standard delay with a Possessed in the feedback loop. :O
I like the disc man and oil can delay. Not really into the bicycle delay but appreciate the Hoffman reference.

That's typical, they do at least want people to handle them.
The Epis (on the high end) are dumb good at this point. My Casino is in pretty much every way equal to my real 339 Studio, radically different guitars, but....the Epi's fretwork and other stuff was flawless where it mattered, and even the cosmetics are on.
Shame about the Rolands, going to have to hear a few demos on the little boutique stuff as they were on my radar.
The Rolands were not bad by any means...They just had something about them that sounded off...kinda like they progressed from VA to their own Roland synth sound. It's more of a taste thing I guess. The JD-Xi, Aria stuff, and all that looked awesome. The Waza Amp looked really well made (and has four channels per module). The boutique keys were better than I thought they would be, but the knobs felt kinda cheap...I played the Jupiter and the Juno. I really didn't feel like the juno had the punch and depth of the old Juno 60 I used to mess around with...but, I guess these have their place.
You're right though, the Epis felt more finished than the gibsons on the fret board (not like I am a guitar aficionado though). I thought the Casio was just a better made guitar over all than the two gibsons I played (other one was an SG)...but those might have been the two that didn't get played because they weren't as well finished (I could tell people were going for certain gibsons and pretty much ignoring the epis...which, I think I would rather have the epi). The last Epiphone I had was 15 years ago and it was a horrible les paul copy. It was probably made in the 1990s or something...Epiphone is much improved. I kinda knew what to expect because of your (and others) comments on the board...but it was nice to get hands on experience with a Gibson without that guitar store dude looking at you like "No, you can't try it...you can't afford it or shred" you know? haha
Most of the booths wouldn't let you play them though. Gibson's was in the minority. Ibanez and Ernie Ball/Music Man had like an attendant that would hold the guitar while you look at it (or let select people play or something...basically not me). Fender+Co wouldn't let anyone in. ESP and Schechter I didn't hang out too long in. Gibson was free reign with headphone amps for every guitar (like near 80 or more). They also had a game of thrones like iron throne carved out of wood in gibson shapes...which was awesome (they also had a secret back side for the big players I think).
I never found Yamaha...but instead found a new respect for gibson as a business (weird how little gestures can change your perspective...really didn't like the way Fender talked to people).
Boss/Roland really did a nice job letting people play stuff too. As did a lot of the smaller companies (of course).

since it's a delay it seems to be a way more accessible way of using that effect. i bet people will be writing some really cool riffs with this pedal.
Possessed is king on drums/synth/noise but this thing seems like a more intuitive thing to play with on guitar.
i like a lot of the things catalinbread have been coming out with but a lot of it seems pretty niche/limited, since they're using DSP on all this stuff it'd be nice to see a weird multi-mode delay from them rather than half a dozen super specific $200 delays/reverbs etc.

Their oil can delay sounded pretty good.
I like pretty basic delays. I like to fuck up my delay sounds with other pedals rather than having a fucked up delay pedal to begin with. Probably just me though.

I kind of feel the same way about Mr. Black too. I would like them as a patch more, but not a dedicated box.

I'm kind of in the same mindset now. I used to want more fucked up delays...I'd kinda rather fuck them up myself now...maybe I learned to much from glitching all those boss pedals haha.
The oil can thing, I dunno. I just can't think of it as an emulation if I would try one, I would have to think of it as a different voiced digital delay haha.

That's pretty much how I feel about most digital delays.

That's perfectly understandable.
I'm generally pretty flexible but we all know the best delays are those shorter than 20ms with sinusoidal time modulation. In purple enclosures.

I can see myself rocking a Source audio nemesis and an avalanche run on my board. I have no problem with Digital shit nowadays, it gets me to the sound I need and do crazy shit to boot.
... I'm trying so hard not to preorder the avalanche run. I'm not helping my own case.
