Anyone who says Starfire is one of Jaga's worst albums is talking out of their ass - it's a great record and honestly, the new tracks were one of the very highlights of their show
which is in my top 3 this year (and I saw a metric shitton of shows). Insanely tight, energetic and groovy live band, do yourself a favour and catch them on the current tour.

I may have broken in this Spectres album. A touch of Women, bit of shoegaze, pretty dark and uninviting. Me likey.

Yo I know it's like almost 20 years old now but End Hits has been one of my most jammed albums of the year. One of my Beasts for sure.

NO KBIT I WAS DEBATING AS TO THE QUALITY OF HIS MUSIC
I HAVE DECIDED IT IS QUALITY MUSIC THAT I LIKE
LOL, all all-caps ranting aside, sometimes I have to listen to an album upwards of twenty times to "get" it or for it to "click"

Yeah I definitely know that feeling, some of my favorite albums are growers.
I wasn't really tickled by the new OPN, though; and it's probably not gonna be a grower

Like some of my favourite artists are artists I hated for years and one day I woke up and was like, "Shit, I get it now! [Artist] is probably actually really good!" and on that day, when I was feeling receptive enough to do so, I listened to that artist and began to love them.
Bruce Springsteen! That's exactly how it happened. I was waiting in the car while my mom went to her chiropractor's appointment. I was home on the weekend in my second year of university and the only CD in the car was Bruce's greatest hits. It's weird because my mom really hates Springsteen; I don't know exactly how it got there. Divine intervention, it seemed like. By the time my mom came out to the car, I was a fan. Mostly because of the line, "Baby, what else can we do now except roll down the window and let the breeze blow back your hair?" Fuckin' A.
Before that I used to rant about Springsteen, used to go on and on about how awful he was.

I don't remember what came out this year enough to make an assessment of my album of the year.

Best band of all time. In On The Kill Taker did important things to my ears and brain as a teenager.

Likewise.
Kbit, have you listened to any other Fugazi records yet?

I've listened to Repeater a few times and Steady Diet of Nothing once, liked both of them but not as much as End Hits (only one I own).
neon mentioned The Argument was his favorite so I'll have to be spinning that soon.
