thanks y'all! soooooo MOIST.

Akira - you know they were talking about doing a live action shitfest? the kids were going to be generic Creepy Monotone Children, and because people are too stoopid to know things are spooky without a sound effect, they were going to have a song they sang when they appeared out of the darkness.

the fucking Frere Jacques song.

UGH.

Akira is perfect as it is. The reason why we animate comic books and film live action films of animations is because we feel there is still a story to tell, a scene to be shot or something to be said. But Akira said EVERYTHING that it will ever need to say.

Yeah, but the animation still had something extra to offer, despite the manga already being so heavy and laden. I just can't envision anything more being said. It's like the Toy Story 4 rumours; I just can't see how the characters need any more time to develop. I hate sequels and remakes because they fucking go too far. They ruin parts of my childhood. It's been said already a thousand times, but I'm still going to rant. If they fuck up Toy Story 4... fuck imma kill something. One, two and three mean so much to me. I literally aged with them.

I've heard good things about the movie, the book was silly but enjoyable read.
Is the movie like the book or does it change up a lot?

Damn, Hollywood butchers every book they turn into a movie.
Of course would send your brother to commandeer the TV.
I bet that wasn't even in the book.
Corporate big wigs. Can't trust 'em. They always ruin movies.

But I might go ahead and watch it, now that this post reminded me that it existed.

It was an enjoyable movie! I remember the book having waaaaaaaaay more dicks though.
I read the book back when you had to strain your eyes to read it all on a computer screen on pointless waste of time. I loved it, actually made me afraid. The second book was pretty great too, although I heard he changed some of it when he changed the book title.

He's not even playing one of the good ones.

My cousin literally defended the game by saying, "You couldn't slide in the last one, plus there are dogs now!".

I played a ton of Halo with my nephews this summer, but I couldn't really get into CoD. I let them stick to that.

I still have very fond memories of playing Halo, and the game still feels kinda similar to the original, even though there's a ton of new and weird stuff.

I just remember when my older brothers came home with the brand-new xbox, the first Halo, and two controllers.

We plugged everything in and we were just like
HOOOOOOOLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY
SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT
when we saw the graphics and the world and characters and stuff.
We just sat there forever and played video games and hung out and it was awesome.

And that's what it always was about for me, hanging out with brothers or friends and playing a cool game.
So it was really cool to load it up and have it be just like old times with my nephews.
