starting from bottom of the pit to the top:

Vaccaro -> Kramer -> then it splits into two categories, whether you want to go vintage or not. If you want to go vintage, a Bean is your bet, the prices are just getting nuts.
In terms of modern aluminum its a free for all between EGC/Bastin/Obstructures. Early Bastin seems to be completely different than the recent Bastin but I know phanta has an early Bastin and loves it so that's promising. I haven't seen too many of the newer Obstructures out in the wild

Most out-of-place headstock ever. Would work on plenty of other bodies but the wonky strattish tin box is no goots. If I had one (and there was a store up here that had one for sale, at least a couple of years back) I'd make or get a wooden body and sell that one to Vincent Gallo.

The Sovtek ended up going for $470 USD + shipping, that's pretty good for a factory-condition one.

I saw that Sunn Sorado and and it looks good, with the cab and everything, I think it's a good deal. People associate Sunn with metal now (obvious reasons) but a lot of the models other than the Model T get incredible clean sounds. And huge volume.

I think that the insanely inflated prices on Model T MKI is starting to bleed over onto the other models... they've been getting more expensive over the last year when I see them on stuff. Even Traynors are expensive now. Damn you, Pelican! Damn you, Russian Circles! Damn you, rich-ass fanboys!
