Yea, the Rainbow Machine seems to have a huge array of sounds in a small/simple format, more appealing to me as well. And that magic footswitch.

i had a busy day yesterday...
pedal train pro... stereo y cable for the lunar echo loop... 8 packs of chromes... a capo... the new black pyramid and backwoods payback cds... and... DR FREAKENSTEIN FUZZ!!!

Tom Oberheim invented the ringmod and built them for Gibson/Maestro in the 70s. he also designed the PS-1 phaser and a few other oddball bits n pieces. An octaver too I think.
Gibson bought Moog, Moog took over and fucked everything up, so he sold his toys himself before going on to build synths.
Pretty stoked to have found this one. Pretty good deal too.

I'm currently on the hunt for the Digital Pro Plus model (branded by Gibson). Tricky to find.
