Well, that makes it more authentic. Somewhere.
It took me like two years but I just now discovered how to enjoy playing through the HM-2. You need fuzz into it or to use it as an EQ after a feedback loop.

It's a matter of skill, cuz I suck at it, but I leveled up x2 after this.
