I'm curious how the revised Attack Decay compares to the Attack Sustain (Pigtronix). Howard Davis designed both of those, and the AS was the first poly update of the original design. It's funny, because the updated version can be had for as little as $140 on the used market, whereas the original EHX has less features and runs about $900 at least (maybe $700 on a superb day). I've never used the original, but I have a dusty AS. I'll have to compare the AD 2.0 to the Pigtronix model.

Buchla U.S.A. has introduced a subsidiary company called Red Panel. They tell us that Red Panel was created to pursue new and innovative Buchla-related musical instruments that are priced within the reach of the average musician.

For its first line of products, Red Panel has worked closely with Dave Small of Catalyst Audio and Buchla artist consultant Todd Barton in order to bring Don Buchla’s seminal product line, the 100 Series, to the Eurorack format. Nine modules will be introduced and demonstrated at the NAMM convention, including the 106 (Six Channel Mixer), the 110 Quad Voltage Controlled Gate, the 156 Control Voltage Processor, the 156 (modern version), the 158 Dual Channel Oscillator, the 180 Dual Attack Generator, the 112 Touch Controlled Voltage Source, the 190 Dual Reverberator, the 193 (Combination of 194 and 191) Dual LoPass / Bandpass Filters, and a 6U 84HP case. These products will be available in the Spring of 2019.

Buchla U.S.A. will continue to meet the needs of Buchla customers through the production of high-quality historic synthesis/performance technology with a focus on and celebration of Don Buchla's legacy.

By listening to the needs of composers at the San Francisco Tape Music Center, Don Buchla created one of the first modular voltage-controlled electronic instruments in the mid-1960s as only a gifted designer and engineer could. His innovative and seminal musical instruments have inspired composers and listeners alike for over 50 years.

Yeah this is a good NAMM. There's 3-4 things here that I'm even considering preordering...

So it seems my wishful ramblings above have been realized. Makes it seem more likely to be digi (along with the 150 ma current pull) :snax:
moar salients:
- Mono mode: one volume envelope at a time, the envelope resets when you play a new note.
- Poly mode: gives each note you play its own envelope.
- Built-in, fully adjustable, Harmonix fuzz enhances the volume envelope effect and produces bowed instrument sounds.
- Built-in effects loop allows for your own pedals to be inserted onto the volume envelope.
- Expression pedal or CV control over every knob on the Attack Decay.
- Save and recall up to three presets.
- EHX 9.6VDC-200mA power supply included
- Current Draw: 150mA @ 9VDC
Yeap, I'm in. Attack and Decker here I come ;)

Waking up and looking at facebook and this thread has never been this painful.
Right? Fucking hell. It’s unrelenting. :duck:

Also that Vemuram TS is indeed hilarious. I bet TGP is covered in blooze-juice.

The poly mode on the new Attack Decay is supposed to add the attack envelope to every new note you hit, so if you play a slow arpeggio every note will fade in, as opposed to the first note fading in and then additional notes sounding normal. I really wish this was released a few years ago before I got my Philosopher King.

Awww...yes, the obligatory, premium vintage-flavored drum set of NAMM. One can almost smell the semen and cigar smoke. Mmm.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but looks like the second pedal from Caroline Guitar Company is a "lo-fi modulator" named Somersault.
Saw a picture of it somewhere but I can't find it anymore.

Those 12-strings look glorious.

I’ll take one (because I have no use for it and it looks pretty).

Also saw the Somersault on Instagram.

So Cadillac Green is a grey-blue now? :idk:

I'm not much for gold in general, but Gretsch seems to balance it out as well as any brand.

Well sure for me, as someone who can boast of a jazz-themed harem....but for plebeians like you, it may be possible to vicariously indulge without being wholly consumed by Icarus Syndrome.

I just found my new favorite Chorus/Vibrato pedal
inspired by a CE-2, but it’s so much more than that.
