I'm still figuring out which pedal to get, it's not so easy...
Should I buy him a more vintage style textured fuzz, a more crazy fuzz, a totally weird pedal or maybe some sort of octave, I think I have the options lined out but I'm not really sure yet...

Totally weird seems like the obvious (and correct) answer.

Get what he doesn't have. If he has most types of fuzzes, go weird!

edit: actually, go with weird either way. It's nice to get something out of the ordinary to play around with.

I gotta agree -- if there isn't a pedal that just seems like a 'no shit' no brainer (GAS Thread candidate, etc.) then something you don't see every day is a pretty good substitute.

The parts arrived for my victims pedal build today. Will be starting the build later tonight. Still waiting on delivery of some other gifts for them. Should be here by the end of the week. Will organize the part last. Been having a lot of fun with this. It's true that the giving is the real spirit of xmas.
