Although I'm pretty sure we all agree that comsect shouldn't have guns the same way we didn't think he should homeschool his kids.

I like to think it's be easier to bring up, "Hey maybe you should talk to someone about your upbringing and the various points in your life where your brain got fucked up." versus "Hey we might want to make acquiring guns a more regulated, standard procedure." because for some reason the second one is akin to razing someone's entire family in front of their eyes.
