This is Donut, nursed him back to health from contracting parvo. He likes the snuggles.

Best. Thread. Ever.
We have three rescue critters.
Here's Shisha, our Calico. She's an arm-shredding bitch, but I love her.
This is Hookah, our delightfully derpy grey tabby.
And this is our newest addition to the pack, who we just got on Sunday. She's a 1 1/2 year old American Staffordshire mix. 55 pounds of solid muscle, an outrageous amount of energy, and a big goof ball. We call her Lana, because she is frequently in the danger zone.

She's adorable. Dogs are awesome. Wish I was still able to deal with having one.
This is my cat from a few months after we got her (almost three years ago). I'll search my computer for more recent pics or I'll snatch her up and get a shitty webcam pic when I'm able to.

I lost the amazing Lemmy T. Rat to time and his choice to check out as he became more and more paralyzed (a sad semi-regular occurrence in male rats). He was my very good friend for the last couple years.
Enter today, Virgil T. Rat. He stole lasagna and promptly fell asleep in my hand.

My first pet was a rat. They do make for great pets I think.

They do, and I'm too sick these days to take care of something that needs to be taken out for walks outside and the usual stuff cripples on their best days aren't real great at.
It's like a miniature, smarter dog that eats the same food I do, and the only downside is the lifespan.
Then again, I won't see 2020 either, so it'd be cruel to get something that would survive me for sure.

my wife just sent me a photo of two of our three dogs sitting in the sun. I knew what had to be done as soon as I saw it.
