so the heads look fixed, but the seller mentions moving the heads? is he just talking about alignment or is one of the heads movable? i just bought it on impulse, glad to know you enjoy your'sspace6oy wrote:i have one, they're nice!
i think he's talking about setting time using the slider on the left head. the knobs on the front are just for level and repeats.Uncle Grandfather wrote:so the heads look fixed, but the seller mentions moving the heads? is he just talking about alignment or is one of the heads movable? i just bought it on impulse, glad to know you enjoy your'sspace6oy wrote:i have one, they're nice!

Evans tape echos are like that too. Congrats UG, it looks nice.space6oy wrote:i think he's talking about setting time using the slider on the left head. the knobs on the front are just for level and repeats.Uncle Grandfather wrote:so the heads look fixed, but the seller mentions moving the heads? is he just talking about alignment or is one of the heads movable? i just bought it on impulse, glad to know you enjoy your'sspace6oy wrote:i have one, they're nice!
Well, I ordered both but the DPM-2 was canceled and I got a refund but the order for the Pitch Monster was still live (both are still listed for sale). This morning, I guess my agent got in the DPM-2 and not the pitch monster. The store they were ordered from told them that the Pitch Monster may still be there but might not or something. So the DPM-2 is in and I have to pay again after being refunded. The translated language is kind of confusing. Well, the Seppuku journey of mystery continues.lordgalvar wrote:Nah, its just some shops will cancel the order when they see a purchasing agent as their buyer. I think they view it as a hastle and would rather deal face to face. People in jp use purchasing agents too (I guess to pick stuff up at local shops for them or something?). There was also this excuse going around last year where video game orders got canceled because of "weather". Long story...basically sellers knew where a copy/system was to buy in cash and sold it before having it (they were always gracious and very good at refunds...but it got old). I waited 6 months for an xbox360 ntscj even though I the store listed having more than 10. Anyway, I was just thinking this shop, in particular, would cancel.Strange Tales wrote:
I'd be surprised if Japanese people tried to dick you down. Unless you just get screwed over by mysterious forces when it comes to Seppuku?
That and Seppuku stuff always seems to be around, just like on step ahead, you know? Haha
I think its a surf green.Gone Fission wrote:Columbia, MD CL: Kalamazoo KG-2, $375. Is that aged Pellham blue or just a cool green? http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 50010.html
Seconded on both counts...Iommic Pope wrote:I think its a surf green.Gone Fission wrote:Columbia, MD CL: Kalamazoo KG-2, $375. Is that aged Pellham blue or just a cool green? http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 50010.html
Also, that Fender unit is pretty slick looking.
Ha, yea, that was me getting that one (plus the octave drone and throbbing gristle buddha thing) because I gave up on my direct order for a minute. I've got my direct order here and I am waiting for the DPM-2 (and maybe a pitchmonsterStrange Tales wrote:I'm really bummed that I missed the Kompact Kassette from them, did you end up getting two?
If you wanted to "that guy" it I don't blame you. I'm about to be "that guy" with two Count to 5s because my mind explodes at the expanded possibilities versus GB24 + Ct5. Maybe outside of the Mind Warp and maybe the IC Water, there's nothing I want more from Seppuku than the Kompact Kassette (at a not stupid price seriously those prices). If you're compelled to keep it though I won't hold it against you at alllordgalvar wrote:Ha, yea, that was me getting that one (plus the octave drone and throbbing gristle buddha thing) because I gave up on my direct order for a minute. Seppuku orders are a pain! haha. Cancel here, wait months, magically show up there, inventory errors, old listings, people not wanting to deal over the internet. Some have gone well though when I deal on ILF (thanks ILFers!).
You've still got dibs when it shows up...I toyed with having two, but I can't, and will not, be "that guy". Though I am a bit curious. haha. But if you pass on it...
Honestly, I may actually try it out but I doubt I would keep it (the "that guy" reference was more about the fine line between player and collector with that eternal question: "should I get rid of it if there is a chance I can't get it back...and value dude, what about the value"). It's not like I've been in a band or even played anywhere but my extra bed room for 7 years.Strange Tales wrote: If you wanted to "that guy" it I don't blame you.
