Chuya Online is out of stock now for the Possessed I guess because searching their store doesn't bring it up, but you can order directly from them, their English is pretty good. I really don't like using shopping services unless I have to because you get charged straight out the ass on fees. Most Japanese people are usually way friendly if you just give them an email and ask politely.

I've wanted an Elwood-decorated Les Paul for years but I suppose it is incredibly hard not to ask him to do one.. busy guy, don't see him active in any threads here anymore.

$100 for a Purple Skywatcher RRR with a "glitchy switch". Ryan would probably fix that right up for ya if you are not inclined to do it yourself...

Tagging on to the discussion of Nine Volt and Rakuten, I bought the MASF Possessed, OSC02V2, and SCM through them. This was through a forwarding service (in my case Tenso), do they do direct to US now? Came super fast, would do it again. I'll have to look to see what else they have available, actually. As mentioned, the shitty exchange rate makes this the time to do this.

There's quite a few Harmony's up on Reverb now…
did some musician pull a Jack White / St. Vincent and make a previously-cheap department store guitar expensive and sought after?
aha I see St. Vincent uses a Harmony Bobkat.. I confused it with the Kay baseball bat neck guitars that were super cheap years ago, then expensive on eBay, now kinda cheap again...

Nice. I got mine for around that same price. MASF has said in the past that they only deal through Nine Volt, which is weird because everyone sells them (in Japan). Does Nine Volt just distribute to everyone else?
Chuya has been pretty reliable for me. I've had really bad luck with calling Japan in the past. Some of the smaller, warehouse-like stores refuse to ship internationally (esp. arcade PCBs...I think it has to do with the licencing or something). Industrial suppliers and stuff wont even pick up the phone. Granted, this was 10 years ago when I did a lot of business via phone but it seems like things are getting a lot easier.

I guess Nine Volt distributes a lot of places because quite a few stores carry MASF stuff.
I've never called someone in Japan before, I would have such crazy stage fright

. Email has always been great though, when they actually return emails. Something about Japan where I'll either get a reply instantly, in a month or two, or never.

Haven't used chuya lately, but have in the past. Learned about the company after seeing aaron turner's board when OMG was touring "no". He was using LAL's thunder box and the 88. At the time I think analogman was the only place to find LAL stateside but was always sold out.
Had to have one of those 88's, stumbled across some cheap on ratkuten, through chuya and been buying all my hard to find MIJ goods there ever since. Still have my original providence stampede I bought through chuya, and can also highly recommend that shop.
