I put an enclosure inside my charcoal grill when the paint was still wet. If it weren't for the ash that blew up and made it look dirty, I would've left it that way.

Not a bad idea. I have lightly experimented with wet/dry/mix with spray paint, naptha various other things. Will take some fine tuning

Ha ha - yeah - this was just an accident (this is one of four that burnt - so look out for more coming down the pike real soon), but it looks like if you got a process down it could be a cool finishing technique . . . though perhaps not a 'safe' one . . .

There are small industrial ovens for baking you clay pots, that might be a bit more safe^^

they get really hot. all you would have left would be a black carbon coating no matter what you put on it. also, not much ventilation on a kiln so you could start a fire in the kiln but it wouldn't make the pedal look any more or less black.

ive done worse mistakes like
go to plug in the 9v and press the switch and im like why are u not working!? and go back and check and resolder things
when all along
might just wanna pop a cable into the input then press the switch

I cut the plug off a dead cable for that purpose.

I tend to forget to plug the cable into my bass guitar while wondering why this f***ing piece of sh*t doesn't put out anything... spend lots of time to find that error... :D
