Why are there still JHS and Freakish Blues pedals for sale out there?
I just don't get it. It does not compute.

So glad this thread resurfaced. I completely missed it the first time! And I am so glad to say that before today I had never heard of these pedals...

I hope everyone knows that the main reason for my maybe-out-of-character posts was to make people laugh.

Yeah, I stand by what I said 100% and they totally deserve it. But what I mean is, I'm not personally angry at them (like their customers should be)...if I saw them in person, I wouldn't rip them a new one--they're laughingly walk-away pathetic. But it was fun to go off on such an easy and deserving target.

It IS terrible to see when there are so many builders putting everything they have into building beautiful looking and sounding pedals.

There are a lot of debates in the hand-built pedal world, lots of degrees of unethical when it comes to clones and prices, some grey areas...but Freekish wins the 2010 award for making all of the debatably unethical, debatably overcharging, snake-oil-/-used-car-salesmen pedal builders who come up in forum debates look squeeky clean in comparison. I'm sure they thank you, Freekish. It may not forgive all of them, but the spectrum has definitely been changed.


So yeah ^ I could get all diplomatic or try to analyze the whole thing, but my first thought--fuck it. Just so over-the-top, so fucked up, that I gleefully put down my mediator demeanor and picked up the flamethrower.
