I don't know. I havent given it much thought, as I'm mainly planning the next nautilus batch (spring-ish, probably).
Mechanical sun, slightly more expensive than the nautilus, unfortunately. It's hard to assemble, and our dollar is shit right now so parts cost 25% more than they did 2 years ago. Probably won't be over 350.
I wouldn't save up for it, though. You all know how irregular my batch timings are, and how long it takes. Spend that money on mtl assembly, hexe, red panda or earthquaker instead.

Do you think the next batch of Anti-Nautilus will have regular switches, or will it still have a toggle switch? My memory is shit so I can't remember if I read something where you said you were using a toggle switch for a specific reason.
Either way, I always have money set aside for the Sonic Crayon Sweepstakes, I'll just keep on waiting.

Yeah, he posted here for a hot minute (about Spaceman pedals, I think?)
edit: No, it was PLLs.

You just don't get it do you? You can't ask someone to build you this. This is a mans masterpiece.
If you had been paying attention you would have noticed an emerging new kind of pedal.
Through the duck tape, booby traps and chaos you would have glimpsed the true nature behind John Schumann's original design.
This is the very pedal that caused him to give up building after completing only a few units.
Years ago, I remember hearing a customer sent his Pll back for repair and after 3 months of waiting received an unusual email.
I am not lying when I tell you this. It was revealed that Schumann, who had never kept a Pll for himself, had over the
years forgotten the design and fell in love with the customers pedal, attempting to run off with it.
This is not the mark of a regular builder. You see, I've encountered few pedals like this.
Each pedal is a meticulous labor of love. It's eccentric genius cannot be held to the same standard as a regular boutique.
It is the pinnacle of unobtainium. A boutique boutique where the builder has poured his very soul into what he is creating to
the point it transcends itself and becomes art. This is the shit legends are made of.
You do not understand what's happening. To simply have someone else build you one is an insult to this mans art.
If you don't appreciate it enough build your own interpretation then you do not understand what is it, you cannot comprehend what you
are playing and you don't deserve it.
And, of course, tuffteef's immaculate response:
tuffteef wrote:no wait i have to say it
you are so retarded
you act like schumann invented the bloody PLL
PLL is used for so many applications including Audio conversion and Radio Tracking
people have been using PLL for synthesis for ages before he came along
his PLL is literally just a PLL..
no secrets no tricks
literally a PLL

Well lets just say I don't hope this will draw him back to ILF.
There's some PLL nonsense if you put his name in the search but I think he was also in the Mason Jar Klon thread.
@cloudscapes:
Totally understand, it's not your fault man, not at all.
Just, the memories, the memories, it's too much...

Regular toggle switch. The PCB doesn't allow any room for a stompswitch. There isn't any "slightly" bigger enclosure, it would have to be a lot bigger (a few CM) but with the pots in the same places, it would look weird.
I'd have to update the design of the PCB to make room for a stompswitch, and re-order 50 boards, which I can't deal with right now.

I'm totally going to start making up crazy Sonic Crayon origin stories, though. Just an FYI.

Hmm. Interested to hear the responses (from TGP dude). They'll likely be chock-full of cringe-inducing nuggets about
the sanctity of scarcity and the Church of the One True Boutique.
cloudscapes is totally right... there is absolutely no way of dictating who buys the goods you make, or what
the purchaser does with them after purchase.
The only way to counteract that sitch is to either
1) produce more pedals (and hope the flippertronics choose to go away on their own).
2) make less-desirable pedals.
3) make pedals that are perceived as being less-desirable.
Tactics 2 and 3 seem crazy. Like chasing your own mind down the rabbit-hole of self-doubt crazy.
And Tactic 1 is a matter of taste, personal circumstance and desire.
Seriously. It's just a side-effect of the internet. When I walk into a guitar store I only see
what is available. And I only play guitars that I can half-way afford. Surfing the internet
for gewgaws, my imagination runs wild, and I lust after all sorts of pedals I will never see,
play or own. Sweet, sweet torture of gear-coveting.
p.s. toggle switches seem good for a pedal you "play" as much as your guitar. If you can
stoop to twist a knob or two, you can stoop to switch a toggle

Oh that's the reason why! Makes sense, with how much you have jammed in there thats pretty unsurprising. Well, nothing a cheap looping pedal can't solve. Thanks for the answer! Time to put on my waiting cap because looks like that TGP dude isn't responding.

Hahaha I didn't see that. I can't say I get his line of thinking at all. Doesn't use the pedals, bought them half intending to flip them, and then not flipping them and just letting them collect dust.

Meh. I don't care if he said that. I'm still going to make an offer and hope to get refused. LOL
