I'm not saying they aren't annoying,...or irrelevant,....but I won't fast forward through a 311 song that pops up on an all songs shuffle.
P Nut does have some tasty toanz IMO though.

was HELLA cool.
well, they were from Sac so when they came up to Oakland and Berkeley we were one of the few local heavy but weird bands. just sorta fit. they're cool ass guys. at leaet they were then. i don't know them that well. even then they were doing well so it was a tad intimidating.
played with Sublime right after Date Rape dropped. THEY were some dicks. most interesting person i ever played with that's big now is actually Mark McGrath. we played with Sugar Ray in Berkeley before they were anybody. i'd picked up their first cd, and it was a Greenday rip-off. during soundcheck they sounded SUPER Sublime like. i was talking to Snr. McGrath and asked him why the huge difference from their last album. his response was something like....
"well, i look GOOD with my shirt off. we're not that good, but we're all REALLY marketable. our label wanted us to do the pop punk thing, that didn't catch on for us. so they thought we'd do better sounding like Sublime."
it was so damn..... honest. and it worked out for him.
i should have done more situps and crunches i guess.

lol. yeah. there's a strong aversion to all the bullshit ass-hattery that gets pulled over TB-a-Way.
TB's got it's good parts, but outside of the Efx section i kind of want to shit in the soul of 90% of the fuckers that post.

What do you mean? Fender and Ampeg is the only thing we should use..geez...Flatwounds are fukin crazy man.
I must admit I learned some stuff on TB, but I can tell here is where it goes to the next level with what I love!
If I want to do some bass or amp trading TB is pretty rad, but I am pretty set there and I am a pedaphile FTW.

Hi,...and welcome,...man I don't believe we've ever had a whole lot of interaction on TB but the welcome is no less welcomy,,....once you discover ILF,...TB becomes a distant memory.
I actually loved Adrenaline and Around the Fur tons around the time they came out,....I sorta lost interest around White Pony cause my tastes went towards the Jamband movement,....but remembering my roots as always, I listened to the Self Titled....I checked out Diamond Eyes and oh man,...that is such a great record. Wrist kinda sucks but I do like White Pony and the S/T. I don't think any of the bands from that era are still as tasty and relevant as Deftones.

Korn blows hard,...but I think everyone knows that. First record good and I loved it when it came out,....everything after is just garbage.
A little late to the game but I didn't think Taproot was too bad.
Primus was hella on my formative years list,...as was Rage Against The Machine, and to a lesser extent,...the Seattle bands (IOW "Grunge"), but I also grew up in a town that had no relevant scene so I was stuck with what I could find at the mall.

Thanks Warwick. I know I have read a bunch of your posts, listened to Mecha Shiva (awesome), and drooled over pics of your gear.
I saw Primus this past New Years eve in Fox theatre in Oakland...Better than ever! Super sweet show. Les definately opened my mind up to effects when I was a young'un. I remember hearing envelope filters on bass before that but not really knowing what they were.

yah. i actually dug the first two Korn albums. awful after that.
Skrillex gets all the hate for being the figurehead of Dubstep (blegh. so much retread IDM), but he did some cool stuff when he was just Sunny. or Sonny. i forget how he spelled and can't be arsed to look it up.
