For a foreign policy doctrine fully focused on winners and losers in a transactionalist manner, leaving the un (where the us is arguably a fucking winner) would be one of the most counter intuitive moves I've seen in.... like ever

I will put this here because this seems to be the place to discuss these things.

Trump winning has pulled a ton of Racists out of the woodwork in my area and it sucks.

A friend of mine who is a very cool mix of races has been harassed at work by people.
People who say things like "I don't know exactly what you are, but trump is president and you can't stop him?"----stop him from What?
or have challenged her work ethic (AT FUCKING WORK!)

I saw what Aziz said on SNL on Saturday and I really wish Trump would take it to heart.

I don't think everyday people realize what his win did to the daily lives of many minority groups but it just sucks.

I totally understand. The far right hasn't been progressing much in terms of votes (they have bigger scores because everybody else is losing because no one shows up to the ballot pretty much), but now that it's "ok" and "normal" to share their ideas and vote for them, you clearly hear words and witness behavior that would have called more immediate action a decade ago but that the vast majority of people accept or let go of nowadays. Even my oh so politically blind mother said something along those lines a few days ago about her colleagues "I would have never imagined so many of them would say things like that".

I think it may be worse in NY because it's such a heavily left leaning state
so the ultra conservative people seem to be super aggressive lately

That fucking sucks, never been out of the West Coast and never experience any sort of racism of any kind so far, except by some Hispanics in Mexican restaurants refusing to talk to me in Spanish lol.
