This looks super sweet Nick, presume it's an Orange/Matamp clone of some kind, GT120 perhaps? Where would I start if I wanted to build something like this?wildebelor wrote:

That's the ticket! Righto something else to add to the project list! It says for experienced builders, I've built loads of pedals but not amps, do you think I could manage it?Ancient Astronaught wrote:http://hilbishdesign.bigcartel.com/Hexjibber wrote:Where would I start if I wanted to build something like this?

I usually prefer the headfirst approach but seeing as there are death dealing voltages at work I might err on the side of caution!
I've been waiting for an excuse to try an amp build though and not fussed about a mini Fender starter project like the 5E1 for example, a GT120 on the other hand... \m/\m/
Any advice from experienced people on here?
My rubber feet are being delivered today hahahawhiskey_face wrote:if the head resting right on the cab with no rubber feets?
do you even volume bro?

Cool cheers Nick, I may just give it a go, still a fair old whack to shell out for so may have to do it in bits or start selling pedals!wildebelor wrote: I've checked the build files (the faceplate is a hillbish - gave me ideas for some amps I'm doing next year)… they are super easy man.
Dive in! It's probably cheaper to purchase the whole kit from him as well.
Your GT120 stack is looking great, but this I want to see!!!! I have a 4x15 build planned too but I have this Flatback 8x10 I've got to finish first. The 4x15 I drew plans from looking at various photos from Cisneros' old rig. What's the plan for yours?wildebelor wrote:that 612 is excellent!
doing a 415 for my bassist at the start of next year![]()
