So you finally picked it up, hunh? Nice score! How're the stock pickups? I've always wondered what kind of mojo those old guild pickups had...

It's funny that red fang video encompasses my teen years, starting off a larper ending up a band member  what's funnier is with the right glasses and haircut I could be the red fang singer / bassist's twin.

Extremely nice. For stock pickups in a $800 guitar I couldn't be happier. They're highly balanced and neutral. Warm and fat are not words I would use as they only contain 50% of that traditional PAF sound. But neither are they super clear or bright like a Tele or Filtertron pickup. They're a blend of a humbucker and a mini-humbucker. They're slightly thinner than a humbucker, but fatter than a single coil or mini-humbucker. I would like a little more... something. I don't know what it is but there is something that holds them back from being amazing. They're just very good and I'm very happy with the guitar. I have no intention of replacing them, but I would like to mess with the height a little.

I currently have it set up with heavy strings in standard. It actually sounds huge as it is. I really need a standard tuning guitar for jamming with others until I can afford a semi-hollow. The Guild will then probably be dropped down.

How's your success with the fuzz into the laptop?

I usually run my pedalboard into the Apogee Jam or my M-Audio FireWire Solo. Both are fine-ish. I'm running it into my iMac running Logic Pro X (had Logic Studio prior to that). It seems alright. I struggle getting the heavy tones I really want but I'm generally not too fussy about it since I'm only demo-ing it.

I use logic almost always, because I know where everything is :idk:
But I like the sounds I get.

This is one of those cute orange guyatone pedals on both low and high bass tracks

This is some metal pedal, it has fake blood on it or something

The trick is EQing and creating your atmosphere.

I really dig that last track with fake blood on it. You are Ms.Black correct? I believe we are facebook friends.
Is that track all bass or are there other things going on?

 Yes it is I and yes I do believe so :)*
That was a guitar tuned really funny like A, a, E, e, B, b or something, I don't know why I did it and the guitar did not like it and wouldn't play in tune very well but I got the recording so I'm happy I guess.. although... that was suppose to be an attempt at black metal which ended up being doom, I love black metal but I don't hear it when I play so... I don't know..
