I do actually have a couple ideas that I've been tossing around. Mainly delays and weird samplers, but I do have an idea for an FM synth that I'm kind of excited about pursuing lately.

There is always a bigger fish. Sure, Jamie has a ton of gear but... watch like... any episode of creative cribs... you won’t feel bad about your collection at all. Danny Pemberton’s episode is my favorite. (Can one of my English buddies here tell me about the area he lives in? Where all the Londoners are getting moving to cause they’re getting priced out of London? Please?)

That said, the creative cribs people are actual composers and do get paid lots of money (not like Kardashian money but... more than anything I will make... and off their creativity) so it’s easy to rationalize their gear.

As Echorec said, there are so many factors too. I saw a guy on Muff talking about his minimalist set up. It was three synths...

...Yeah... one of those synths was a MacBeth Elements though... if you add together what I paid for my 6 synths.... it’s not even half the price of an Elements. Same with guitars. I own double digit guitars now. Add the price I paid for all of them and it’s still less than one guitar from the Electrical Guitar Company (Which I am sure are worth every penny and I one thousand percent understand why people would choose to tour with those). Or take a Euro rack case. Even with a modest size of 104 hp by 6u... which does not take up much space at all... there could be $15K of modules in there. EDIT: That’s actually a bit much and I would have to cherry pick my argument for that (there is no argument, actually, I think Euro is great). I’m going to restate my number as $5-$7K, cool?

The people who know me here personally know I rant about this a lot. But I liken it to watching any truck commercial. The value prop of the truck is “this is for the rugged man. The simpleton.” And you can’t help but think... that’s a $60K vehicle.

Just moved and realized I had more than I could fit on my two pedalboards. For the first time in 15 years of collecting I opened a drawer and said "oh fuck I forgot about this one" 32 pedals maybe 35 if you count the ones that are broken and will never be repaired?

It's some Gator thing that jrmy gave me. I like it fine except I wish it was raised & had rails. So I'm thinking about a Pedaltrain of some kind.
