It's funny, I've always been more of a DC type (grew up on Teen Titans and Justice League), but I think they're just really fucking it up, now. The only potential saving grace (which doesn't even really count, honestly) is that they're coming out with a new season of Young Justice. :idk:
samzadgan wrote:Having said all of this, there is one exception, I will say, of all the DC movies...I liked the Green Lantern one the most, and for me its up there with some of the Marvel movies.
Yeah, I didn't really get all the hate for it. I thought it was a pretty solid and fun film considering how outrageously complex Green Lantern can get (there's something like, 9 other lantern types and there's all sorts of other weird shit going on in the comics that's just hard to even remotely get into in a two hour movie). Plus, Ryan Reynolds :joy:

When is the Savage Sub-Mariner making an appearance? Or What If.. What If Conan the Barbarian Were Stranded in the 20th Century? That's a whole movie right there.

Spoiler: he becomes a blaxploitation style pimp.

I tried Batman v Superman during a freeview. It's so grim! I couldn't stop giggling. Is it a camp classic? As the robber shoots Bruce Wayne's mom, the reaction of the gun breaks her pearl necklace. Bruce runs into an expanding cloud of collapsing building debris and finds that inside it's calm, gray and he can breathe. What were they thinking?

Best comic book adaptation of all time: The Maxx tv show

Would have been nice if they did both story arcs, but the second one gets real deep into the rape stuff, so I can see why they didn't.

Y'all know about dis? Joss Whedon's been on the JL movie project for some time, and is now taking on an expanded role because of the death of Zack Snyder's daughter (which is horrifying).

Super is ridiculously good.

i loved the first Kickass, the second is just..... oof. just a fucking TRAVESTY.

the second graphic novel wasn't great, but it got so. much. WORSE as a movie.
