that said, what makes the EV so sick is the reverb in the room. It's not because of the dead people.
Back to this point. Obviously we don't HAVE to play at a mausoleum. I think a while back there was talk of a missile silo or a fallout shelter or something?

Mostly I was just thinking of rad places to play. Brian do you know if this Mausoleum has awesome reverb potential? I mean either way it would be rad to spend a night fuzzing it up in one.

Also... Does a Philly meetup mean we may see the elusive Chankgeez?

That is indeed a possibility. :!!!:

Also, apparently, you've not read D.o.S.'s rider. He also wants all the brown M&Ms removed.

i mean, anytime you get in a weird room you're going to have some fun/odd reverb to work with, which can be fun to work with or against.

The old nuclear reactor was something I was trying to organize. The main issue was they wouldn't let me rent it without commercial insurance of like $250,000, which changed since the last time I went there.

That place was less reverberant more seemingly random delays coming back to you sometimes louder than the initial hit.

yeah so the mausoleum i speak of is a venue/event space. http://www.philamoca.org/
still technically a mausoleum! not really a verby space though. looks like a regular diy venue in a decent space.

Cool venue!

Alright, first things first, let's get a list going of who is actually considering going, so we can figure out how much as a group we're willing to spend on a venue and if we even need one beyond the ss/bs pretty space.

I think I saw John Wiese there a few years ago? I used to live in Fishtown so I might be down for Philly.

Incidentally, if anyone is going to Exumed Films eX Fest at the International House on 20 APRIL 2017, I will be there.

Well I'm definitely down. Let's see a show of hands and I'll make a list and we can start planning.

Does anyone have any recording equipment? Video cameras?

I can bring a zoom and my interface. That will only give us 3 channels, but better than nothing. I can also probably supplement anyones recording rig with some microphones and cables. Or if there is a board handy, get a nicer 2 mix.

My wife wants to know when. I asked and she seemed ok with it as long as I have time to prepare and all.

I can't bring an instrument because I don't trust the baggage handlers, but I can bring a few pedals and my sexy ass. :)

I can bring you a bass, won't be anything like one of your beauts, but I can provide an upgraded Hartke aluminum neck bass
