Hahaha every pedal bought on ILF features a unique printed story from our resident shaman/oral historian Lord Galvar.

Thought this thread was going to be about a twitter beef.
Box/case candy fetish stuff is weird. I didn't even realize until like last year that for some people, including a box could make or break a Reverb/ebay sale. I mean, it's trash. Stickers get applied, instruction manuals get ignored, candy gets eaten, hex keys get lost, boxes get trashed. This is the order of the universe!
I've been hanging onto them since then though, for things I might want to flip. I've kinda been hating this about myself though and staring resentfully at the pile of boxes that I've accrued recently. Something's gonna get done about this.

Remember that time I got pissed at Prymaxe Vintage for sending me a pedal in a bubble mailer and it damaged the box?
I can see the dude's point to a certain extent. If Mark however shipped it properly, then I don't see the issue. If he sent it in a mailer, which he never sent me anything like that, then I'd be annoyed. I wouldn't ask for a refund or even bother writing an email, but I'd be annoyed. LOL
Mark isn't generally an abrasive guy either, I mean, he can be like all of us, but I've worked with the dude and he was always respectful. I met him in person too and he was a great guy, so I find it hard to believe he'd demand the pedal back instantly unless the OP was being as straight out dick bag.

I've told the story behind that photo.
A fella posts the same type of unformatted wall of text rant as OP, for his second post on tgp.
The rant in question was maybe 5x as massive as the OP from this/these threads.
It was a convoluted tirade about musicians with endorsement deals and how only
undeserving players get elevated as poster chirren/get all the free stuff and/or use inferior gear while prone to namedropping or something.
Convoluted tirade is the key word
...deciphering the dense negative sentiment was a hard mode challenge. I had it archived before the old drive ate it.
Anyway, at some point dude posted that photo of himself and I mirrored it for easy reference like "THATS SO TGP"
FOUND THREAD
Sorry I posted this yesterday on my facebook page after recieving the 10 or so invites from both of these guys...we became friends due to being from the same area and all and normally I would just delete them from my Facebook page for spamming...but I try as much as I can to help build a music scene and support my fellow musicians...The one guy has been posting for the last month or so about having booked over 200 gigs on Sonicbids and all and has a 1000 gigs waiting...I really think he's looking at the options they send everyone as soon as you pay to be a member of Sonicbids and counting all those...unless I'm just missing something...was there a memo that went out that melody, rhythm and phrasing all are not important anymore?!?! It's one thing to get an endorsement from a string company or a company like Fender whose endorsement criteria aren't nearly as stringent as most companies but to have a Pedal named after you...or always be posting how you are sponsored by 7 different companies as if that's a way to sell it...the one guy has a performance coming up where the way he's talking about it he will share the stage with Ron Thal(Bumblefoot) If that's the case and Ron is able to hold it togeth flails away at random notes doesn't make you Al DiMeola or Allan Holdsworth...It's one thing if the people I was referring to were young kids(or even adults) who were in the early stages of learning their instrument...but when these are adults who are taking opportunities from other much more deserving musicians(the fact that two of the people that I am talking about have a signature ****ing pedal or even half their following is a crime when you have players out there like Albert Lazaro, Andy Wood or Phillip Peloubet and especially a guy like Toshi Iseda whog standing relationships/endorsements with companies I respect and used their product before the endorsement came along...it's just frustration!! Read the rant let me know what you think!!
***RANT ALERT***WARNING DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER***I try to be respectful and all because you can't form a music SCENE unless you work together and support each other to build up a scene...but I also know being a PROFESSIONAL musician is equal parts being professional and being a musician(not a player but a musician) who has an understanding of what notes belong in the key you're playing in...I'm not implying everyone has to go to music school and understand how Japanese scales such as Kumoi or Pelog fit into a particular chord progression...but if you're a singer and you sing flat(or sharp for that matter) you need to ****ing practice and work on training your voice and your ear to get better...if you're a guitar player and you think playing a G Minor scale over top of a G Major 7 Chord is going to fit you need to work on your ear and understanding that if you take a look at a G Minor scale the notes are G-A-Bb-C-D-Eb-F-G and the notes of a G Major 7 chord are G-B-D-F# 3 clashes right off the bat and it probably is going to sound like ****!!! Unless your into REALLY Out Jazz and are a genius at playing in that style...locking your elbow and picking as fast as you ****ing can as your left hand flails away at random notes doesn't make you Al DiMeola or Allan Holdsworth...It's one thing if the people I was referring to were young kids(or even adults) who were in the early stages of learning their instrument...but when these are adults who are taking opportunities from other much m...as everyone I've heard from here is in a different ballpark as these guys...I don't think I'm the only one who gets mad at people who have all these resources wasted on them when there are smusic scene and support my fellow musicians...The one guy has been posting for the last month or so about having boo for 30 plus years and are just now starting to attain any sort of interest from the "Industry" guys who have busted their ass and have been doing this every night for years trying to scratch and fight for their spot...and you think because a few people who have probably had too much to drink tell you you sound amazing you are going to march in here and demand respect and special treatment" And what set it off today was I got messages from two people via reverbnation to check out their "Signature" Pedal and the demo video...both of them in their 30's and 40's respsectively and both from in and around the Tri-state area back on the east coast...I tried to watch the videos from start to finish...the one guy I'm always seeing stuff on here him talking about how many gigs he's gleamed off of Sonicbids or Reverbnation...and how many endorsements he has like it's a competition...I'd rather develop a relationship with a company that I respect and actually respects what I do then put out something that sounds like garbage...I'm sorry if you plug an overdrive pedal into the front end of a Mesa/Boogie Lonestar which already has an extremely thick and singing overdrive...and it comes out sounding like an old Peavey solid state...that's not the pedal I'm looking for...I am keeping names out of this because I don't want to be a total dick about it...but when you are playing over a bac...but I try as much as I can to help build a music scene and support my fellow musicians...The one guy has been posting for the last month or so about having booked over 200 gigs on Sonicbids and all and has a 1000 gigs waiting...I really think he's looking at the options they send everyone as soon as you pay to be a member of Sonicbids and counting all those...unless I'm just missing something...was there a memo that went out that melody, rhythm and phrasing all are not impopany...If I pick up a Klon Centaur and play it and post Klon's logo on my facebook page or on my youtube video doesn't mean I am Endorsed by Klon...I see that one a lot too....
I guess I just know too many musicians who have busted their ass to get anywhere in music and truly believe in it...and feel the need to do it not just do it because it's a cool way to get chicks...or because they want to be rich...or want to be cool...sure that's how most people start...but the ones who stick with it it ends up becoming an all consuming part of you and it's no longer I want to do it...it's I need to do it...and most still struggle to get to a point where they can continue doing this on the level that they want to...
Thank whatever musical gods have shined down on me and allowed me to continue to make music my life and my livelihood...
Sorry I just needed to get that off my chest have been holding that in for awhile!!
***RANT OVER***IT IS SAFE TO GO BACK IN THE WATER***
My apologies...I tried to be professional and didn't mention anyone by name so hopefully this doesn't get me in trouble...as far as I know this isn't anyone from here...as everyone I've heard from here is in a different ballpark as these guys...I don't think I'm the only one who gets mad at people who have all these resources wasted on them when there are so many more deserving musicians who get overlooked because they don't have the pocketbook, the looks, or whatever...I have been very fortunate to meet Sam Taylor(former Producer/Manager of King's X, ZZ Top, Galactic Cowboys) and alot of other people involved in building my career and building relationships on mutual respect and work ethic...He will yell at me any time I start approaching..."Weedlie Weedlie ****" as he calls it and he told me the first day we we SAFE TO GO BACK IN THE WATER***

Yeah man, my eyes glossed over it and at midnight, after viewing the half moon setting red into bushfire haze, I can't do it to myself.

Does anyone here have a blackarts box? T 'would be funny to post a pick of said box but with like a beaten up old Devi pedal inside.
"Anyone had this problem? Mark sent a sweet box but there's definitely something wrong with my lstr"
