Our cat is a fucking monster. He spent the first few years living on a farm with us where he had free reign. We recently moved into a neighborhood and he has been going to town on the super dumb local woodland creatures. On the farm he caught plenty but at the new house he is catching like two bunnies a day. Last week he kept off the back deck and took a bird out of the air. There are other cats like him that sleep inside bit are otherwise outside in the neighborhood. He is tagged and chipped. Anyway if he had a litter box our relationship would be much different.

There are a lot of douche bag cats, no doubt. There are also some really developed and nice cats, that don't seem - at least from my experience - to try and buddy up only for their needs, but actually have a kind personality.

With dogs it's more often they are happy-go-lucky but there are also some dogs that are just pieces of shit. I found this often to be the case with the smaller ones which are yappy and aggressive.

The yappy ankle-biter doggies suffer a particularly bad rap due to the compound issue of being designer breeds with heavy inbreeding in their lineage...and living with shitty humans who transplant many of their own flaws onto their critters. Or being adopted by well-meaning humans who foolishly allow the critters to run wild without any training or discipline. They become the brats & bullies of other animals in the household.

My cat has recently taken to sending random cat-butt messages to people on facebook and skype if i leave my computer unattended for more than 5 seconds. Lots of people are getting lots of "khhhhhhhhhhhhegrwwwwwwwwwcf" messages from her.

I hate all pets and animals. I'm a bit of a clean person/germaphobe, which probably contributes. Also, a big enough dog will fuck you up if it decides to, which I can't put out of my head.

Cats aren't really pets so much as reminders that our wants and worries are trivial. My little fuzzy buddy puked all over my bed the other day but he walks on the threshold of the mundane and the eldritch so i can look past a little barf.

Still waiting for IEatCats to come back and post in this thread.

My Siamese sleeps on top of me, every night. She has puked on me twice, now, during the night. It's cool, though...
