Not much for 2016 (but knowing myself, that might change).
-Fairfield Accountant (like goroth I'm curious even if I have no use for comp).
-Probably an hollowbody guitar in the summer.

I do have a nice job that pays well enough (not like a lawyer or doctor though, I work on games ;) ) but there's no way I'd spend the amount of money on gear that lots of people here (and even worse, on Muffwiggler) seem to spend. Do you just all earn a shitload of money, spend all the money you get every month without saving anything or use credit or something ?
Well we have some people who spend a lot on gear and keep it, some that spend a lot on gear but sell it (making the actual cost a relatively low constant, once you account for all the flipping, etc.), and some people that don't spend a lot on gear at all. Most of us tend to drift from one to the other depending on where they're at in a sonic sense.
Been in all three places. I collected all the Moogerfoogers in three or four months, bought a Sub Phatty, tons of other peds...then sold all of in pretty much one go once I became the sole provider. Now I'm laying low...like five pedals of low, with no plans to grab more. My habit is a direct reflection of how many kids I have, and the state of their health. And car repairs. But! Probably getting a new role at the ol' college at the end of the month, and that should come with some more $$$. So...I'll just start mainlining Eurocrack.

My sense is that there are not a lot of rich folks on ILF. I have approximately $0 right now (checks pockets), and that's been the case for about a year. No idea how the people on Muffs do it. High barrier to entry.

$20 for another 10 days here. Off to a great year.

I'm just lucky enough to have fallen ass backwards into a fulltime job (I'm still paid probably $20k less than I should be per year, but that's another can of worms). Since my rent is cheap (compared to what I would pay near DC or in a city) and I can cook on the cheap, I'm able to use the rest of my money towards stupid gear purchases I don't need. If there's something I really want, I flip something else to fund it.

I like how this turned out to be the "tell us about your personal economy"-thread.

I have a job that pays well without having to work a lot/often, and I live (temporarily!!!) with my parents again, as I spent the time after finishing my bachelors degree travelling and didn't want to pay for an appartment while I was gone. Well, I don't buy that much gear anyway. :idk:

I work in music, so I can pretend it's an investment. Plus I wait to find steals on things. And a lot of used boutique holds its value nicely.

Definitely not staying pedge this year. So far I've upgraded 2 Chase Bliss pedals, new LAL Cyber Psychic, and got a voodoo labs iso 5 as a present. I also have a few other things in the works like a custom spring verb. Getting the new 4046-M and whatever other steals I find. Might invest in a drum machine this year.

Speaking of personal economy if Trump wins I'm moving in with DarkAxel to in a $200/month apt while gorging myself on the finest imported pedals.

He doesn't know this yet, ofc.

Everyone state your annual income. Winners will be flogged.

(I was thinking this same thing, Eivind, even though I contributed to it.)

This conversation comes up like once a year or so, which is pretty rare on a website that's built, in a very real way, around commodification.

My favorite part of the Pedge threads is seeing them next to each other and seeing that DOS has the most recent comment on both!!
I didn't know you could join both threads but now I am pumped!

which will no longer apply in a min, and I don't feel like taking a screenshot of it.

I don't plan on buying many pedals this year. I'm kind of sick of pedals.

I just need a few more to complete my board :excellent:

In other news I just bought a ton of new shit for my bike. Do we have a bike parts thread? Like separate from the "let's see your bicycle" thread?

do we need one?
Also I think I just saw a mountainbike thread?????
Or do you not have a mountainbike?

also: 2 Bike threads and 1 shoe thread seems wrong to me.
More people have shoes than bikes

We do have a MTB thread, which I'm in on, but I'm talking lime a straight up "breaux is that a Chris King bottom bracket?!?" type discussion thread. I don't necessarily think everyone in the bike thread wants to talk spokes with me.

Now I'm off to make three "Shoes to appease hbomb" threads to create a balance!

Edit: I just want to nerd out with some homies on bike components on the internet. All the bike forums have pretty awful communities and the web doesn't get much better than ILF.
