nice! great to hear the super special too. ive already got a model 2 thats in great shape so I was able to resist the GAS on the super...sounds great though so what do you think of the cornish?

Only had a few minutes with it today. Gonna reserve judgement and speak more on it after I get some proper time with it. I will say I'm very impressed with how defined notes are at high gain and yes it sounds fantastic.

Yeah, I've only spent a few minutes with it but I like where it's going. Can't wait to pair it up with some other pedals and see what comes out. More clips to come!

Thanks man! Time is the only thing against me. Seems like I never have time to put all of it together. Really need to focus on what I have and get to creating...... but the GAS is always calling.

Yeah i had no doubt they would be great.... It's just a matter of they're THAT much greater for the price difference of something similar. That's why I'm going to do a comparison video. Just had to find out for myself! The settings don't change all that much on the P2.... It's just set to "kick ass" curious to how well it cleans up as I didn't try that yesterday.

A few notes:
- Audio only recorded on the left speaker unless you're summed to mono.
- This is an actual Cornish P2 not a clone (despite saying that in the beginning of the video. It's a comparison against a clone.)
- Sorry for the flubby playing... i'm not much of a player as it is and i recorded this entire video over my lunch break so you get what you get!

Layering and Mixing.

So over two lunch breaks I made this track with those specifics in mind.



Used:
Maton 500 50th Anniversary guitar on the clean parts
Les Paul Halcyon on the dirt.
Pedals: The Scanner, Fuzz Mutant, Limbo II, Nemesis, Liquid Ambience
Superior Drummer 2
Roli Seaboard Rise with Equator synth software (for the viola)
E-bow for the swells
Rickenbacker 4003 bass with Ampeg UAD plugin
Other UAD plug ins used: Shadow Hills comp, AKG spring reverb, Space Echo RE201 delay, Ampex ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder. I think a few more but can't think of it off hand.

Quick phone demo of the Paul Trombetta Rotobone and the Montreal Assembly Wrong Side Of Uranus both together and separate. First is just Rotobone, then both for a while and then just the Montreal Assembly.

Though i'm not demoing a lot of the Rotobone here on it's own i played with it for a bit before recording this and it is off the charts excellent! The Wrong Side of Uranus has a lot of possibilities for interesting things on it's own or mixed with other pedals and could be really cool with layering side by side with "regular" guitar tracks.

Put together a massive pedal board for BILF and plugged it in for the first time this morning. Getting some crazy sounds out of it so decided to hit record and just go at some experimental improve..... AKA: noise

The results were quite fun!
