On topic, though, if you're actually looking for "fuzz not distortion" the Supercollider will not fit the bill for what you're looking for, even though it is sex (and doom) in a box. Badascan doesn't really shine until/unless you're playing with other people but its the tits.
I'll agree with that first bit for sure. I've never been without a muff once I found them.
Supercollider is more distortion, huh? Bummer, since they are so well regarded. The Badascan is appealing because it's like a 'Pharoh but MOAR' and allegedly needs somewhat less volume to bring the goods - care to comment on that?
Yeah, no, I should say that the Supercollider is one of my favorite Big Muff circuits. I found the Badascan was a little underwhelming until I got it into a loud situation with live instruments -- something I hear a lot about with the Pharoah too, although I've never played with one. It sounds incredible, but the wow factor doesn't really hit you when you're playing it solo.
That said, lately I've been using it after my Drone Commander as a tone shaping too and it's fucking awesome for that.

Yeah, raw is the word I was searching for. It's the reason my Twosome is in the b/s/t; getting off the Musket train and onto the Blunderbuss....

true true, but there were some other unobtanium pedals mentioned so I figured why not turn the OP onto some serious GAS cause they do show up for sale and it would be in their interest to look into what it is
Also dibs on your never flip of that tri-muff

I think one of my muffs in storage used to be an amp on fire, or at least it seems to have the holes drilled for one....

I believe the Amp on Fire was what preceded the Megalith.
