I AM EXCITED.
that is all.
Yeah case size doesn't mean anything to me.
well that's a lie. But I think if it were a less useful tool like a tubescreamer clone, then yes it would matter to me.
For something this nasty and versatile, I wouldn't care what crazy ass polygonal shape you would make it....

Copy that, I'll set the crazy ass polygonal nightmare of a case that wobbles drunkenly on two feet, has two unfilled miss drills, and one side plastered with duct tape residue aside for BLOOD EAGLE!
Hahaha, just kidding - you're up for first pick. I hope to have a run of enclosures bent up and ready for earmarking in the next week or so.

Holy shit, I am WAAY behind in creating enclosures from which to pick. I've actually been cutting myself on metal this week in expectation of fulfilling this need. I'm hoping to have some rusted specimens ready for scrutiny tomorrow.
In other news, the UPS man walked up my driveway about a half hour ago and handed me these:
So, the race is on. A HUGE round of thanks to everyone, since I haven't been yelled at for my lack of attention. Hopefully I'm still cheerful after populating one and seeing if I got the circuit drafted correctly.

Excited man! Those look like some crazy boards. Awesome.
Also: not-hammond/not-standard enclosures are awesome and worth the wait.

I hate being color blind sometimes...
but I really like the idea of purple!
(actually now that you say it, I can kinda see it...my colorblindness is a little different than usual...don't know what color I thought they were, just used to not thinking about it I guess?)

I'm starting with a run of the wide-body (4X8") enclosure.
First phase of patina has commenced. Since we've seen rain the past couple days I was able to introduce fire into the equation, with satisfactory results:
HOWEVER, I am somewhat concerned that the carbon film deposited by smoke is fragile compared to the rust, and while it will be contained within a coat of clear polyurethane, I'm not in the position to confirm it will stand up to the sort of abuse that gear is subjected to. So I'm wary about treating the majority of this batch to the smoke out, unless it proves a popular risk. I'm planning on doing a rust/smoke hybrid with another three, and deeper rusting most of the other lot with the exception of one or two from the lower right corner here:
What would you all prefer in terms of continued direction for finish?
Also, next up is a run a the 6X6 enclosure... I would like to be able to sink a stomp switch to actuate the CV mode (this is a non-standard mod) and the PCB dimension and wide body dimension do not allow for a lot of room to work, as it is, the 4X8 will probably have an offset stomp switch due to internal clearances.
TL;DR = should I smoke some more?

But for real, these look awesome. I love the "mangled in a house fire" look.
