What's the point of all that hi-dollar cork sniffer equipment if you're gonna use those super cheap patch cables??? :idk:

Late bump, but how should I run my whole mix through the Fuck? Like just the effects loop of my mixer or just put it in line?

If you're looking to tastefully layer the texture of distortion and its harmonics into your stereo mix, use the send or loop and blend to taste. If you want to obliterate your mix or imitate a lofi recording medium run it in line/as an insert.

Kurzweil Mangler, it has some nice options that are specifically for whole mixes. For VST effects I use Blockfish and Dominion (via soundforge) quite a bit.

Good bumpin'.

This seems like the way to do it.

Now I wanna start messin' with VST so I can try this with some Mutronics Mutator.

What pedal/device would you wanna run your entire mix through?

That's a good question. :snax:
Wait, can we bump this thread/keep talking about it? I don't use/have a DAW, but want to run full mixes through stereo effects sometimes, especially reverbs and dirts when Techno-ing. And i might want to do it live. How does i stereo dirt affordably? (without just two rat clones/DOD 250s/whatever?) Did anyone else want to hear a stereo mix thrown two Fucks after reading this? Can anyone make it happen so i can hear it?

What's the worst stereo reverb? I want that. I also want to talk about this more.

Nice thread bump. I still have no idea how to do any of this. I just usually like the way it sounds. :snax:

Is your timecode game tight?
Stereo track it twice. Even without timecode...stereo track twice.
First time you assign channels like L-wet R-dry
Then you do L-dry R-wet.
Open them all in a DAW or edit tape. Solo until you align the L-dry & R-dry, mute & solo L-wet & R-wet...dragging the waveforms until they're aligned.
Similarly, instead of tracking a dry signal, you could use a click track. So you'd first track L-wet R-click & then L-click R-wet. Mute the wet takes, align the takes so the click tracks sum, mute them and unmute the wet tracks; output :hobbes:

Use a simple mixer with multiple aux sends, most have 2.
Asign the aux sends to individual channels to blend types of distortion; RAT in Aux 1 DOD250 in Aux 2:
Ch 1: Dry
Ch 2: RAT 50% wet panned left
Ch 3: DOD250 100% wet panned right
Ch 4: 100% wet RAT+DOD250 centered

Then with the faders you can mix how you see fit & send out a stereo mix.
Obv just an example, use your imagination :animal:
