I love it when my daughter is over and gets to chose the menu. Tonight's dinner: two hands full of peanuts and a quarter of an apple.

made some bacon, mixed four eggs + salt + pepper + salsa + hot sauce + all the bacon into the eggs, then cooked in the bacon grease. I also made some coffee, pumpkin spice creamer, chocolate syrup and some brown sugar. Breakfast at 6pm yo!

That's no dinner.

That's a snack. :snax:

Throwing a party tonight, so right now in the oven is an approximately 10 lb dry rubbed pork shoulder braising in Harpoon cider. Also just made a couple Mason jars' worth of pickled red onion to put in tortillas with the pork.

Stay tuned for the breakdance interlude...

edit: you could add some jalapenos and sour cream too (especially the jalapenos)...

I kind of sort of just came up with this by looking at scone and pancake recipes, they sort of taste like a cross between a pancake a crumpet and a scone :idk:

Breakfast Oven Cakes

In a large bowl mix
1 1/2 cups flower
2 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt

then add
two eggs
1/2 cup yogurt
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp oil

mix with a spoon until it comes together

Preheat oven to 425F
place parchment paper on baking sheets
poor/spoon out 1/3 cup portions about 3" apart on the baking sheets,
bake for about 8-10 minutes than flip over and bake for about two minutes.
Serve warm with jam.

The pork completely vanished. I swear I turned around and it was just a bare shoulder bone, all scrap of meat devoured.. Pork party successful. :success:
