That's actually pretty fucking cool! I wonder if he'd do custom graphics?

Let's get the facts straight at least. I wasn't bad mouthing the pedal. I just don't like the design of the box.

Now if he did custom graphics, it could look really cool.

I didn't really say that. I just said come join the conversation as folks like when builders respond... I said everyoner seems to like the sound but I warned him a lot of folks are not fans of the looks. I didn't want to blindside him.

Hi everyone! I feel really lame stopping by and bumping a thread about my pedal, but I wanted to say hello since Ugly Nora sent me this way. I appreciate all of the interest and comments. I can answer any questions you have about the pedal (not trying to sell any here or SPAM the forum). To answer about custom graphics, I could probably do any artwork that I wanted on them, but I have tried to make each one unique while keeping a homogeneous overall look. Also, I don't take offense to some players not liking the look. I don't expect everyone to like everything. My preference would be that every pedal out there came in some weird housing unique to that pedal...that's what I personally find interesting. I like those Roger Mayer rocket-shaped pedals that don't fit on pedal boards; I like the old big EHX boxes, too. It's kind of like the idea about tools in traditional Japanese woodworking, that each tool has a spirit or personality that can inspire the user.

You saw the gut shots, so you can see that there are a lot more components in this thing than most fuzzes or distortions. Lots of active components with 6 JFETs, 6 dual op amp ICs, 2 BJTs, etc on two circuit boards. Everything is laid out for the best sound quality we could get--that's why it's big through-hole stuff instead of surface mount (also better for people who like to mod their gear). Hopefully more people who have them will start sharing some clips. I like to hear what people are doing with it. We do have a soundcloud account here: https://soundcloud.com/dutchkazoo/ I made those recordings with a cheap dynamic mic into the computer with an Orange Tiny Terror amp and a guitar with humbuckers. And this link will get you two more clips that a Dutch Kazoo user recorded: https://soundcloud.com/dutchkazoo/dutch ... ecommended

Welcome. I'd do a demo but I am afraid it might hurt your business.

Can't be any worse than the Premier Guitar review clips...I kid, I kid. I just put together this soundcloud playlist so that I can start gathering clips: https://soundcloud.com/dutchkazoo/sets/ ... -the-dutch

Always dig it when the builder chimes in! :thumb:
I like your thoughts behind the design and the enclosure. I'm just too square I think - can't stand ehx big boxes or roger Mayer spaceships
But sexy guts and great sounds.
I want a Nora demo! I thought the seppuku demo was great.

I haven't properly tried it (need to borrow a bass), but I don't think it would work well with a very low bass. I think it would do best with a short-scale bass with some upper grind like a Fender Bass VI, Dan Armstrong bass, or Gibson EB-3.
