It's actually really fucking solid I'd say

it IS extremely strange for Sunn material. There are leads, straigh-to-the-board guitars, loads of synthy noises, drums... but the musical side sounds pretty great and it would work as an instrumental as well...
...now i'm not a Walker fan. In the sense that his music makes me feel pretty horrible. This collab is no different. The combination of his haunting melodies and the noisy and freaky music is something really unique and pretty rad, but also heaps creepy, sickening and scary
This album is an experience in a similar sense the latest Swans album are an experience. Needs to be heard loud, needs to be focused on in it's entirety and it gives you something that goes beyond "normal" musical experience. Definitely had me holding my breath and having goosebumps a few times
In a sense, this album is like a musical equivalent of Requiem for a Dream or Eraserhead. Something you need to watch/hear, but something you might not want to watch/hear ever again and yet never forget it

Excepting the fact that that your examples are, you know, actually good, I agree.

before anyone jumps in all sarcastic - not that your usual Sunn album would be a traditional musical experience. But the vocals do lead you on as more "traditional" here - and it's not, really. Gnome sayin?
