When Americans say "beets", they're usually referring to the root. It's a shame that a lot of people don't also eat the beet greens.

So you are saying those greens in the pic I posted are edible? Do you just eat them raw in a salad or so you sautee them or what? Cuz I'll fucking eat 'em.
