Boner for both. If the arrows function like a boosting/cutting tone knob on the simple v/g/t style amps, I'm tickled. Reverb sounds cool. I need a reverb...descent or this...or supermoon...I dunno...

Yeah... i don't see how trails isn't a more common feature on reverbs that can do really long decay times. Being able to spill over is such an awesome thing for song transitions and not having that ability just makes reverb really unintuitive for me. I would pay extra for it if that was the issue, but i guess we're still in the minority.
Still really curious to hear this though.
Tails = buffered bypass = tough sell when punters equate true bypass to toanz.

I guess, but I still want trails. Great reverb/delay + no trails =

Depending on how the infinite reverb on this sounds, with trails it could put out a cool drone that wouldn't change as you kept playing (kinda like a freeze).

EARTHQUAKER DEVICES LLC is introducing several new effects pedals at Summer NAMM 2014. The Afterneath Cavernous Reverb starts with a cavernous reverb with adjustable decay length, adds control over diffusion (spread), reflection (regeneration of trails), and dampening (tone); then lets the player pull it through time with the drag control. The end result is an ethereal, ambient wash that goes from large hall to an infinite glitched-out orchestra pit warming up in a canyon. MAP: $225.
EarthQuaker’s Arrows Preamp Boster is an all discrete tone sculpting preamp booster designed to add an extra channel of gain to all the player’s dirt pedals. It boosts midrange, tightens up the low end, and makes the top end shine while adding some push to drive the dirt into blooming sustain with excellent harmonics. MAP: $95.

Hmm, I might go in for an Arrows, that sounds killer. And great price.

This sounds awfully dickish, but what is everyone gassing about with the arrows? "boosts midrange, tightens up the low end, and makes the top end shine while adding some push" sounds like a Tubescreamer. Which I admittedly like, but anyway. Just wondering what you dudes are seeing. Note that I'm not saying this is a TS, or in any way related to one. Just the functional description.
Afterneath sounds rad as all get out, and as has been pointed out - wizards. Can't really go wrong with that.

I'm interested in the Arrows because it sounds like it does something similar to the TS as far as the EQ and boost goes, but without the dirt/drive part. I've personally never liked the character of the clipping on any sort of TS variant.

Hmmm...why is the afterneath top mount and the arrow not?

Probably because of enclosure size. The one knob duders have usually been in 1590B's, while the more complex recent stuff has been in 125b's and allow for top mounting

I wish I could try all the pedals.

You are totally right  . I forgot they used 1590b's some times.
