Chicago has practically decriminalized weed, they just give you a $25 ticket if the cop even decides to give you one. Medical weed is legal now, but it's only for people with life threatening diseases and shit. I actually wrote a letter to my Senator who passed the bill with an article about how Colorado has seen a decrease in crime since the legalization of pot, because doesn't have any crime at all...

Vice's youtube channel has a number of really cool weed related videos including one on Strain Hunting, it's pretty sweet.

They keep creeping back the opening day here in WA. I guess it's mid July now? I just want to buy ONE joint legally over the counter. getting it isn't the issue, smoking it doesn't really satisfy me. I just want to step up to a retail counter and tell the guy. "Good day to you sir. I would like to purchase a legal marijuana cigarette that I will the smoke to my head." and have him ask "what kind?"

I RARELY smoke. Tolerance went bye bye years ago so it doesn't take much. Got baked the other night early on in a 4 band show and really enjoyed it though.

I just want the experience (and vindication of my youth?) of that fully legal purchase.

Really sucks because weed worked so well for my insomnia and anxiety since I started smoking regularly. The problems were there before I was a habitual smoker but now they are worse being off of it. Once I pass and get the job I'm getting ridiculously high, I've got a bag full of different strains to smoke. Some Northern Lights, Sour Diesel and some Super Silver Haze

The signing up process cost $350. Whatever. Security and convenience for life. Brief explanation of qualifying conditions to a pain specialist who works at a medical office whose sole purpose is to get people signed up. Fill out some forms, wait seven days and there it is, just like that.

The ridiculous quality has thoroughly reality-checked any notions I may have had about growing my own for the time being. She stopped by a different dispensary by her work. Totally different stuff and prices and deals, and a different approach to the packaging and labelling, which looks more like something from a headshop, and not all formal, medical and prescription-like. Different shops, different styles...
We realized last night that we've never had such a fine stash in our entire lives. Between the two trips, we now have seven different kinds of medical grade nugs and half a gram of Blue Dream Honeycomb(wax).
It's not even a whole ounce all together, and we could probably make it last through the holidays...if we wanted to...

Do these dispensaries sell good high grade hash or anything? I haven't had good hash in about 20 years.

The first one we went to had hash oil vaporizer cartridges, but wax appears to have replaced plain old hashish as the popular solid concentrate.
